Lot of people getting cold feet about the power issues I guessI've gone down 9 places on the other site since ordering a TUF 5090. Will be 3-4 months at this rate: went from 108 to 99th place.

Zotac has LED indicator of not fully fitted cable too, though it 100% won't detect that 30AMP pushing through single wire. Nothing will as far as I know.
I've ordered an Asus card, and using Asus ATX 3.0 power supply at present with PSU supplied PCI-E 16-pin x 1 (both PSU & component side). So, if something goes wrong- interdepartmental fight? I'm sure it was the Cybenetics boss that said he would, and does, use the cable supplied with the PSU. And Asus like to highlight that Cybenetics gave the PSU A+.You’d hope so - I agree. Using the adaptor they give you is just ‘redundancy control’, to be extra safe and to avoid any stress of them interrogating you during the RMA process. You don’t want them saying “you’ll have to take this up with you PSU provider” - which I would hope is unlikely but it would be particularly frustrating!
But yes, as long as you follow the instructions that come with the GPU and follow that to the letter you should be OK re: RMAs.
A competitor store did 3 drops of those yesterday for £3k, so it's probably the buyers resellingJust seen msi trio 5090 on Amazon 4 left in stock, price £6k

Aware that not all PSU's have a 16 pin on the PSU side. But, 'we' still shouldnt be thinking 'hopefully'...on expensive GPUs.
H+ and H++ connectors and cables are compatible with one another and will work well. However, by combining H+ with H++ cable you will not receive all the additional safety benefits that ATX 3.1 brings. Specifically, combining H+ and H++ loses the tighter connection provided by using only H++ connectors.
gotI’m sure some of you have seen but the 5090 Suprim Liquid got an outstanding review by Hardware Unboxed:
Kind of wish I went for that now…- ejecting the air right out the case would keep my CPU cooler! Oh well

I mean weren't a lot of these PSU's or cables themselves sold on the basis that they'd be fine for future GPUs too? If they're not that's not going to look very good.
The world has gone mad, £6089 for a trio....
Is this the x2 8 pin version?I purchased a cable from Corsair for my 4090 which went straight into the PSU rather than using the one with my GFX card.
It was pretty expensive and was from Corsair so I trusted it would be good enough and my 4090 hasn't caught fire YET.
That's what I'm using. My 5090 hasn't caught fire either. Yet.I purchased a cable from Corsair for my 4090 which went straight into the PSU rather than using the one with my GFX card.

I have the old RM1000x from 2021, I got the 2x 8pin to 12vhpwr from them too, hoping to use it when my card arrives. Is that the same kind of cable you're using? That's what I'm using. My 5090 hasn't caught fire either. Yet.

Yeah. Same PSU too.I have the old RM1000x from 2021, I got the 2x 8pin to 12vhpwr from them too, hoping to use it when my card arrives. Is that the same kind of cable you're using?
I got a brand new RMX1000x delivered from Corsair a couple of weeks ago. Should what I need for an RTX5090 be in the box?I have the old RM1000x from 2021, I got the 2x 8pin to 12vhpwr from them too, hoping to use it when my card arrives. Is that the same kind of cable you're using?
Certainly my Asus PSU quoted 'ready' for 50 series...I mean weren't a lot of these PSU's or cables themselves sold on the basis that they'd be fine for future GPUs too? If they're not that's not going to look very good.
