I paid £1049 for a Zotac Solid, it's quieter than my CPU AIO and overclocks to around 3200mhz whilst running at low 60C. I wouldn't bother going for any of the overpriced models to be honest. I can't see any of the AIB cards being any better so just get whatever is cheapest. The max I'd pay is £1200 for a top card like suprim/astral. Happy to hear others thoughts?
About a month really isn't bad at all, certainly significantly better than the June dates they quote.Just cancelled my 5090 Astral order and was at no:115 , i asked the lady on the phone if she had any idea how long i would have had to wait and she vaguely said possibly about a month but they are still waiting to get firm stock figures . Hope everyone gets what they want soon![]()
I managed to get a FE yesterday so keeping that instead, ah you will move up another place then .. I posted what the lady said above but for 170ish in queue possibly upto 2 months depending on what stock they receive![]()
That is still big money for a GPU and I wish that it was at these prices, I'm looking at my old 980ti and 1080ti invoices and it makes me laugh, the titan GPUs were cheaper too, but demand has spiked and we will never see these prices again, and it will get higher and higher. Never lower. The max I'd pay is £1200 for a top card like suprim/astral. Happy to hear others thoughts?
I'm not opposed to paying a premium for a quality product but I think that rules out the 5000 series as is but ultimately if people keep buying, then that's the public telling Nvidia they're making the right choices. It's been very liberating to feel zero interest (beyond academic) in this release. That is still big money for a GPU and I wish that it was at these prices, I'm looking at my old 980ti and 1080ti invoices and it makes me laugh, the titan GPUs were cheaper too, but demand has spiked and we will never see these prices again, and it will get higher and higher. For me it was a discord group stock notification and luckily I had my phone in my hand when it dropped and within a few seconds I had the Nvidia marketplace open and in basket.
I'm still waiting for my delivery, which according to dpd tracker is about 30 minutes away.
Just step outside wearing a pair of shorts. It is free...For anyone else trying to resist pushing the buy button....
May I suggest you buy a fancy AIO instead to cool yourself down (even if you don't need an upgrade)![]()
It's your money to do as you please with but I'm sorry, 2500 quid is NOT a good deal at all.Seeing as a rtx 4090 sold for £2.2k on ebay yesterday, it is a good deal.
This is the market we live in.
