NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Right now you can, 4 years after they launched. Getting a PS5 on release was just like this though, and I expect the Switch 2 to be similar later this year :p
Nah ps5 was easy to get if you preordered when they first opened. The issue was for people who didn't and even then there was a lot of retailers not scalping. That's not really like this situation cos no one could preorder before launch and retailers are charging more. Not to mention covid affected ps5. The stock situation with the 50 series is entirely on nvidia.

I was on the checkout page a 2pm for the MSI when it updated to out of stock glad for everyone that got 1. I just checked the 3070ti I brought cost me 600 so taking into account the inflation we have had had in the last 36 months the prices for the base models is ok not great. I have 1 on preorder gl guys and the enjoy. I was going to buy the 5070 xt but Nvidia got me again.

Do you guys have visibility on the Gigabyte 5090 Waterforce card? It feels like this one will come last :(
Why would you even want a Gigabyte graphics card? Their quality control has been dubious at best in recent years.

With that kind of money, I'd take Asus, MSI, Zotac, PNY, Inno 3D, Palit and perhaps one or two others over a Gigabyte card any day.

Not having a go, but they've really dropped the ball in terms of QC for quite a while now. So much so their rep on here disappeared because of the heat he was getting.

I like the fact that it does not have a fan and as such coil whine from the card will be non existent. Also the watercooling system seems to cool both the die and vram. I spoke to a fewpeople who had the 4090 waterforce for a while and they really liked the card. To be fair I have not built a PC in years as I was constantly on the move, I've been using gaming laptops. But now that I am more settled I am itching to get back into it. I'm a bit out of touch on which are the best AIBs to go for. So happy to hear as much feedback as possible and take an objective approach. I have a preorder at the other place as could not get one in time at OCUK. I would certainly be keen to go for the Suprim Liquid or if air cooled the ROG Astral or FE as alternatives, but perhaps best to keep my preorder until things normalise a bit?

Coil whine isn’t caused by fans. It’s caused by electrical coils.

A fanless GPU may still have coil whine.

But, a fanless GPU will not have fan noise… and you can rely on the fans of any custom watercooling set-up, sure.
