NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

I like the fact that it does not have a fan and as such coil whine from the card will be non existent. Also the watercooling system seems to cool both the die and vram. I spoke to a fewpeople who had the 4090 waterforce for a while and they really liked the card. To be fair I have not built a PC in years as I was constantly on the move, I've been using gaming laptops. But now that I am more settled I am itching to get back into it. I'm a bit out of touch on which are the best AIBs to go for. So happy to hear as much feedback as possible and take an objective approach. I have a preorder at the other place as could not get one in time at OCUK. I would certainly be keen to go for the Suprim Liquid or if air cooled the ROG Astral or FE as alternatives, but perhaps best to keep my preorder until things normalise a bit?
lmao good one :D

The other place got Tuf Gaming 5090 in, small batch, my queue position moved up 6 places, so looks like the only got 6. Mental, but pre orders moving at least...

Hard to believe a consumer electronics goods shipment could consist of less than 10 units but that seems to be the reality

100%, found that crazy for a main supplier, so thought worth an update. Small companies not getting anything much...

anyone done a gigabyte 3090 RMA recently? found a busted 3090 turbo with 3 months left so I posted it out today, I doubt it they can repair it and I'm certain they wont have a 3090 replacement, wondering what they will do?

In the meantime my borrowed 4090 went today back to its owner and I have a 2080ti but that card will probably struggle with todays games, especially MSFS 2020/4

I guess it's good considering the overall market! 2x increase at 4k is very nice
so you get 2x the performance...the 3070 was £469...you're paying £800 (from looking at prices, that ain't bad),..a lot of cards are over £900...and not knocking you upgrading, but in real terms over 4years, you're getting twice the performance for twice the price.....nothing great in that...2 generational uplift for 0% price/performance gain. Nvidia pr department must be laughing their arses off and slapping themselves on the back, having convinced the masses this is a good deal....lets see where the 5070 comes in...and lets not forget you could have bought a 4070super for several months at £500 not that long ago

I probably would wait. And I'd take the Suprim or Astral over the Gigabyte card.

A day in the life of an Nvidia customer.

Return it or dirty scalp it and try and get a 5080 or 4080 Super.

This is the problem I have with my 3060 Ti. The 5090 is not an option for me, and for all the other cards - I already made this purchasing decision 1-2 years ago when I decided not to buy a 4080 super or 4070 Ti/Ti super because the value wasn't there. Now the same cards are for sale again with a different name, so why would I want them this time when I didn't want them last time?

What a disaster of a launch. I could've bought myself a 5090 with the money I'd have saved on popcorn reading this thread. Well, that's if they existed! :D

Pure laziness. If the other website can do it they can as well.
They done this for the 30 series, i am not surprised they have not done it since, seemed a total ball ache for them and just not worth teh hassle. I certainly would not offer the service if i was in OCUK position. Had lots of instances of people saying i ordered at 14:10 and Im 5 in the queue then someone would pop up and go i ordered at 14:09 and 50 in the queue then OCUk customer service get bombed with people complaining because they do not understand that different payment methods like Paypal and Finance take longer to process putting them further down the queue.
