NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

Got one, says Thursday?! Can't beleive it, it will NOT be on eBay! My time at jumping everyt ime the app went off is over...;)
I got one then cancelled... I got so excited I failed to notice it was a watercooled card, which wouldn't work for my case. My search continues....

13% better RT in light RT games which have never really been a problem for AMD
Load up heavy RT or PT and the 9070XT drops like a stone in comparison

Are there really that many games where loading up on RT to the utmost matters, or in material terms, is worth £150 to set high to ultra in 2-3 games? I don't think I've ever met anyone who is that much of an RT or PT "connoisseur", or at least would't be embarressed enough to admit it. And we're talking about midrange cards here where that extra amount normally matters.

That wasn't my argument...

I was making the RT point because stating "13% better RT performance" is heavily cherry picking the games to base that comment on. When in fact, those games are mainly rasterized so are being propped up by the close rasterization performance. RT performance is actually in the 30%-40% range. It's good that there is competition in the mid-range, I just disagree with pushing false figures when giving advice or when recommending a product to somebody

I'll rephrase .. if somebody purchased a 5090 yesterday, are they able to come back and purchase more another day or is it limited to 1 (to the best of OCs ability)?

Amazing all the "Brand new" listings of this card that have appeared on Fleabay for £5k+
We will be drowning in 5090's in a month or so. Just wait. I am beyond caring now personally. I was amped up pre launch but the enthusiasm is gradually being eroded away to almost zero now.

Just had a browse through eBay at 5090’s.

Must have been some serious botting going on as there are loads on there at between +50-100% markup.

There’s even someone on there that has multiple 5090 FE’s, and I don’t know how anyone wrangled that, least not easily.

I’m sure I’ll stumble across a 5090 or a 9070XT at some point in the next few weeks hopefully, but it’s a tad frustrating!

Whenever there's a margin to be made above retail, you can be sure there's a good amount of stock that never finds its way to normal channels. By way of friends and family, bulk scraping, and resellers directly selling in secondary markets, mucb of those auctions are from this stock.
