I think you are about to have find out what a paper launch is.They spent a lot of money designing a small PCB and the cooling solution for it.
I doubt they did that to then not have many to sell

I haven't said they won't sell out, but I imagine they will have quite a few to sell.I think you are about to have find out what a paper launch is.
This is so true.No that might be the time we won't even be able to access the site.. then all out of stock when you can load it.
They are raking it on AI, 5090 sales are small fry. You can't bag a 5090? nvidia don't care, pay scalper prices for the ones that slip through when Nvidia can be bothered to make some for the gamers out there. They spent a lot of money designing a small PCB and the cooling solution for it.

I think you are going to be brought back to reality on the 30thThey spent a lot of money designing a small PCB and the cooling solution for it.

A paper launch can also mean very limited availability. That being said, I hope you are right.I haven't said they won't sell out, but I imagine they will have quite a few to sell.
A paper launch is no cards available, at all. It won't be that.
I mean I think we were exceptions though. Everyone else I knew couldn't find them for a reasonable price at all.
I think the PS5 was different. They did get stock but you had to be there on the day. I had pre-orders from launch anyway which werent hard to get if you were early enough, could have done the same and sold for profit probably but not a fan of scalping.
I mean yeah I don't massively begrudge people doing that kinda thing, I think the real blame should be on nvidia, amd etc regardless, who even now when there's no lockdown to blame, still have these issues where the launches are often a mess. In lockdown it was unavoidable really, you can't plan around a worldwide crisis like that, so I had a lot more sympathy for the companies having to deal with the troubles it caused. Now I don't really have so much patience to give. If you don't have much stock I'm largely a believer that you should just delay the launch then. The scarcity is what powers scalping anyway. Not to mention it's just frustrating busywork for customers having to wade through all the dying retailer sites because you have both scalpers and genuine customers trying for the stock that largely doesn't exist.I'm not a fan of large scale scalping or using bots, but grabbing 2 to help offset the price of 1 I take no issue with.
Especially considering the 2 I bought were not bought together, they were separate places and weeks apart, so there was plenty of chance for everybody else.
I think FE supplies are likely to be much higher. Nvidia tends to stack the deck in their favour for launches. It's already been confirmed that there is a tiny amount of AIB's available.. i dont think FE's are going to be any different
I think it's going to be difficult to get either. FE supplies might be higher, but higher than single digits kinda means nothing for a country of 68 million or whatever we're at, lol!You guys reckon you have a better chance buying the FE then than a AIB? I gathered from the past few days it was the exact opposite and FE was like the lottery
How do you get an invite?I think it's going to be difficult to get either. FE supplies might be higher, but higher than single digits kinda means nothing for a country of 68 million or whatever we're at, lol!
Your best hope might be getting an invite to get a FE from nvidia.
Have an account with nvidia and apparently they send an invite through the geforce experience now called nvidia app. Don't know any more details than that since I didn't try for the 40 series, I just know some people got invites to buy the 4090 through that after launch. How do you get an invite?
They had to make sure every youtuber had one instead for free. From what i have seen, even Nvidia employees have been advised that the FE stock on there own internal store is limited so i doubt FE's are going to be in great supply.
If one looks at rumours about low stock, a lot of the sources said it's because NVIDIA sold most of their stock to system builders, not to retailers. Ergo, the FE could end up in the prebuilds from various vendors and not on NVIDIA webstore. Definitely much less hustle for NVIDIA to move stock in such case.I haven't said they won't sell out, but I imagine they will have quite a few to sell.

I tried the integrated GPU a few weeks ago on the 9800x3d by god it pants. Luckily I only really league of legends with hindsight playing on 2015 card which is workstation based which means it slower than it contemporary gaming brethren is like having DLSS 4 and MFG. It says 120 FPS but plays like 30 fpsI'm running on the intergrated graphics on my 9800X3D! I tried to play PoE2 with everything turned down to lowest and FSR on ultra performance, 7fps with a frametime of 150ms!![]()
