NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - (PRE)ORDER DISCUSSION **NO COMPETITOR HINTING**

why is GPU prices on OCUK £100 to £300 more expensive than their direct competitors?

pre-orders are 100 more the amp extreme and 230 more for the liquid cooled msi 5090 and 300 more on the asus top tier cards

Is this just location based pricing or somthing>?
Because they can.... money money money money £££££

Got my "2 of 4" confirmation (payment chargded and stock allocated) a while back. I guess I'm getting a Zotac 5090 Solid.

Has anyone seen a review of this card?

Flash of luck as I thought everything was sold out, then on a whim I refreshed -- still nothing -- then refreshed a second later and voilà. I blazed through that payment like a demon. Must have been one of the first to get in for that model.

How did you guys manage to order FE cards? I've been checking since 1pm (I know it opened at 2) and it never said buy - just coming soon then OOS. Nuts.

Figured. I'll probably just throw it in the bin.

I think the last Zotac I had was a 980ti with a waterblock that I bought second hand years ago.

I'm sure you know but just in case, I was pulling you're leg :p

Zotac has previously had a bit of a rep for noisy fans, but no coil wine - the designs look a lot more premium this gen! :)

Very envious of those who got a 5090 FE today. Really cant figure out how you did it but fair play!
imagine thousands of thousands people all over, international too, getting them sent to forwarding addresses, exactly at 2pm they all smash the buy button, 99% dont even see a add to basket option, those who get thru sheer luck end up buying whilst those who dont get presented with a dead non responsive website

From history Nvidia general get stock in every few days during early mornings and mid afternoon, but these are sucked up by bots or the lucky who get thru, best thing to do is always have a web page opened and check regularly, who know u might get thru to bag a FE edition card

Noticed a competitor has pre order available again on quite a few 5090 variants, but ETA for most is end of May, if it's gonna take that long I don't think I'll bother lol

Yes, I got the sarcasm :) Hugely surprising considering Zotac's design proclivities, those Solids actually look super class, especially for a near-RRP card. I actually would have chosen that model among others based on astetics.

Yup I completely agree, I think the Solid looks great.

You had to refresh at the correct time, stock went practically instantly so if you were a milisecond late you either got through and got an error trying to checkout or just didn't see it update at all. I assume bots got a number I guess, or there was a very small amount of 5090FEs available.
