I think everyone who pre-ordered on that site got the same dates. I would expect actual deliveries in weeks/months at best.

Yup, I got the same dates when I eventually reordered it after the first order never got processed.

Unfortunately that cost me an hour and a half which will have plummeted my position down the queue.

It seems the 5090 was insanely low supply to demand globally. Wonder if this was intentional business tactic from Nvidia to skyrocket prices for further batches.

So assuming I get lucky with one of the 5090 pre-orders today and it turns up in the next couple of weeks, I'm sadly still waiting on a rather important component for my build, a Lian Li 1300W Edge PSU, which is still on backorder. It truly is crazy times for PC parts at the moment, I've never known anything like it......

Great PSU to be fair. You won’t regret it. Deffo take note about the USB header limitation, especially if using the Lian Li fans also . It’s something like don’t use port 1, or port 4… I forget

Thanks, yes spotted that as it piqued my interest as I'm going full Lian Li SL Wireless fans for case and AIO also. Will be a good boy and follow the Lian Li instructions to the letter!

Im surprised that it's so hard to get seen as the reviews of both the 5080 and 5090 have been mostly negative mostly AI rubbish that most people are not arsed about.

Feel a bit sorry for those caught out by the scammers. There are some scum out there who see this as an opportunity to defraud others. There were at least two listings on Ebay advertising 5080 founder editions for £1500 - the catch is it was an A4 photograph of the card. There is a listing on fartbook selling a confirmed order for a 5080fe for a mere £600 - the listing was posted 6 days ago.

They've been doing to since at least 30 series, any initial limited stock product they fluctuate / 'try their luck' with pricing from the off, surprised it's legal tbh....probably isn't.

I have seen a Scottish bloke on Ebay trying to sell a FE 5090 for over 3000 pounds if you pay that you must be mad as a box of frogs.

Hum....starting to worry that mine isn't going to go through from the high street place. It's still not been processed despite saying delivery tomorrow and I've just checked the payment is still marked as pending.
Maybe I'm being impatient though. Will just have to see how this plays out.

Ended up with a Palit 5080 from the site with more honest pricing. Not the card id originally planned for but why not give a different brand a chance. Delivery estimate of 3rd to 5th Feb which would be fantastic

Glad I didn't go near the £1400 Zotac cards. Absolutely insane price.

oh well live and learn, maybe I get lucky and it's good.

I made the same mistake with my 4090 (wanted LC Suprim) ended up with Suprim.

Yup, basically as paper a paper launch could be, production is going to hopefully ramp up until AMD launches RDNA4, then we'll start seeing availability imo.

Had a palit jetstream 1080ti and a palit 3080. Both decent cards and had no issues. Their software is kinda bare bones, but it isn't a dumpster fire that is asus armory crate.

Only real problem I had was I wanted to re-paste / re-pad my 3080 and the pad thickness they used was not common.

Yeah that sounds like my last experience with them when I pre-ordered something. They sent out a new estimate via email the following day.
