So it will get to a point where inventory is out weighing the sales, then they have to drop prices to get rid of inventory?

Already seems that is happening. Those alerts today had stock for way longer than usual. More people are seeing these and not racing to get in their baskets.

Once the early adopter demand has dried up and prices may have to adjust for sales to continue. I wonder what margins they have and if supply is committed what that could mean for normies with reasonably priced cards? And second hand market.

Could definitely see a scenario where things get much cheaper in the not too distant.

That was never happening after the 5080

It doesn’t even beat the 4080s in most scenarios, it’s a terrible product at the gouged price. If you can get one at MSRP it’s a good upgrade if your on a 3070 or older.

It’s not even faster than a 4080. It has 10% on the 4070ti tho, according to the averages. Not great. Even at MSRP it takes a bit of doing to say it’s ’good value’.

It’s weird seeing new market prices raising the value of second hand gear that has no business being priced so high.

I'll just summarize: 5070 ti is an abomination of a card at its actual street price, middling at its RRP. You could have had better performance at this cost for nearly two years.
