NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

I was tempted by the 5080, Once stock normalizes, But only 16GB for £1000 is a big no no and the 5090 which is something I will be able to afford down the line once my new job pays more consistently... I could never justify £2000, Minimum, For a single card.

Now, £1200 for a 5080 Ti with 24GB of memory ? I could swing that down the road.
I expect cut-down (defective) 5090 dies, 20GB and 4090 performance. The pricing will probably depend on how well 5000 series has been selling up to that point.

We can hope for price competition. Depends if greed steps in!

Team red will undercut by £50 like they always do and nothing will shift

Jensen will troll in by saying " Look AMD, good try n all that but look at our stupid fan base - they'll happily lap up GPUs at up to 50% more than MSRP "

Chart of Timespy benchmark scores shows clearly that 5090 is just a continuation of the 40 series trendline.

50 series is its own trendline until the 5090 then it deviates.

The 5090 should have been $1500 to be part of the rest of the 50 series range.

They'd far rather sell the sand for $30K+ for a data centre board. That's where we are.

You got a 5090 yes, but did you get an actual 5090 or a Zotac 5090?
