NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Normally i'd have upgraded my GPU this year but given all the technical issues with Blackwell and the price gouging i'll sit tight with what i have.

I was considering buying one (or trying to rather), but given all the hoohah and what have you with the release - as well as the poor performance and price gouging, I'm glad I didn't bother!

5060ti sounds worse by the day :(. I'm feeling 16GB version will be 4070 performance for the same money as you could get a 4070 :(, while 8GB variant would just be madness to buy in 2025.

Very optimistic there mate, given how the 60 tier cards have had the worst generaitonal gain in the past couple generations, we'd be lucky for them to even reach 4070 performance. But yeah, being priced mere pennies less than what one could buy a sale 4070 for in recent months... the price-to-performance regression continues on the 5000 series.

This thread and obviously the past hundred or so pages of the very thread you're on right now:cry:

We all know what's going to happen

Hope and optimism is all I have left :p . My 1070ti desperatly needs an upgrade, mostly play esports/indie/aa games, so it's been fine, but now is the time as there are enough AAA built up I want to play and games that need RT to even run (indiana jones, doom the dark ages and I suspect metal gear delta), but I don't want to feel like I've been bent over.

I'm open to AMD as well, but the RDNA4 thread doesn't seem that optimistic either :(.

Exactly. It's all relative!

Jensen sold you a 5080 for £1400. It's a darn success if you ask him :p
I'm impressed you committed that to memory. I'm basically famous even if it is for encouraging inflated GPU prices :cool::cool:
