So if going for 5080, there's no need to spend more than the Zotac?

No, the cheapest Zotac card there is already 30% over the FE's MSRP. What a complete farce. Zotac also has a UK RMA centre (which I recently learnt about), so that shoots it straight to the top of my buy list for any card.

Seriously though I know the 5070ti isn't exactly considered good value either but why would anyone pay 43% more money for 11% more performance.

I beg to differ: I play older games like Borderlands 2 so the lack of 32 bit PhysX is significant for me. But i thought their testing was quite poor: they should have put the PhysX GPU in a x4 slot, because that’s what most people have.

It’s not great having something removed but AMD users never had Physx and they’ve never cared

It’s only a problem because Nvidia did this without actually letting people know they were doing it. Saying it’s a nothing burger fails to address the actual issue of Nvidia being Nvidia.

I doubt only a handful would care if they were upfront about.
