NVIDIA to Unveil GeForce GTX TITAN P at Gamescom

when you guys reckon the 1080ti will come out?

Last two cut down cards Titan>780 and Titan X> 980Ti came out 2-3 months after the respective Titan card, would expect a similar time frame again.

Allows NVIDIA to make a fortune on the big uncut chip and another small fortune on the Ti within 5-10% performance while being well north of 20% cheaper (not quite so exiting when the Titan MSRP is $999).

1070 is in the same boat really (mid range).

1060 is just a budget card.

So you're saying the 1070 is mid range, and the 1080 which is quite some faster and the current fastest single GPU card is also mid range.....

Or the most logical way of looking at it is:-

1060 Budget Card

1070 Mid range Card

1080 High End Card

1080Ti / "Titan P" Enthusiast Card's

Regardless, I am going for a "Titan P" as soon is its available provided it isnt over £1200 :D

Semantics. It's all just boring semantics and yet I still see PC gamers argue for days(literal days) over this time and time and time again.

There is no strict definition of 'tiers' among GPU hardware, so it's very hard for somebody to be 'wrong' with how they describe things.

You're out of luck then.

Well i was not far off in my predictions for the 1080 and 480 inact i think i was really close. So then Titan P assuming latest DX 12_1 is a £1000 GPU easily i would actually think it will be close to $1200MRSP = £1200 and finally EOL at £999.

This will hopefully bring the 1080 down to £500-£550 which is what i am waiting for currently around £585 for EVGA SC. And this will be it of course until next year when all the Titan P is sold and the 1080 is replaced by the Ti. We will then go right back to the £620 £1200 silly prices.

I'm quite interested for the Titan P, but only because it will show us what sort of performance we will get from the 1170 :p
