Nvidia vs Ati Advice

I will stay on topic and not argue for the sake of it to please your trolling.

This is the start of a whinge. Just because I've posted something you don't like reading it doesn't mean it's trolling.

Trolling accusations are another type of pretend rebuttals, you're very good with them.
No he means you sound like a child, hence by growing up your posting would be of a more mature nature.

No to what? It was pretty obvious that he was getting at that.

Saying I "sound like a child" is quite meaningless, it's often something people say as a rebuttal but it doesn't actually mean anything. People like to dish out the "you're so childish" comments as a way of discrediting what you've said without actually addressing it.

Age has absolutely nothing to do with it, "growing up" won't change the fact that I think he has a whinge and moans like a baby over nothing, and to point that out has nothing to do with maturity, again pretending it's some sort of rebuttal, it's not.

My point? Can you actually point out what's "childish" exactly?

How is your setup going gregster?

Going good thanks Stanners :) Got the new PSU in today and spent over an hour doing cable tidying to still have to jam the right side of the case while I screwed in the thumb screws (why do they give limited space on the right side of the case when they know cables/blocks are going to be there?). Looking forward to the water blocks eventually coming and having the GPU's cooled as well. :)

Which psu did you go for mate?

Have you any idea of the total power usage of your rig?

Sounding like a awesome system!

Cheers.

I went for the XFX 1050W Black Edition Pro in the end, as I couldn't justify/afford spending more on the AX1200I. Under full load, I am pulling just over 800W. I know this was fine for my 750W Antec but if I do decide to over volt my 680's, I would have probably gone over. Better safe than sorry :)

It was my first water cool and I am pleased as punch with it. I have some red Mayhems pastel for when I add the new rad/blocks and will swap it over then.

Here's some. These are from June, so no doubt AMD's drivers have improved further.

When the lightning R7970 BE hits the UK it'll be very interesting indeed. :)

If true this is very encouraging. June would be the 12.7 drivers.

12.8 and now the 12.9 beta offered some nice improvements over 12.7. :)

It is 12.7, yes, it's in their data sheets, i posted a link to that review, somewhere...

Chimes in with needed an AMD card for 3D support because Nvidia flat out won't allow a "generic" active 120HZ screen (With its own emitter and glasses) to work without buying their kit for full 3D with Tridef, I don't want this SBS compromise.

I don't see Nvidia's superior 3D support directly.
That said, AMD's 3D support isn't directly AMD.

Both have its pro's and con's, I like Nvidia's ability to use anaglyph 3D on any monitor with an Nvidia GPU like.

Lack of 3D support on DX8 games is a bit meh, I liked RTW in 3D on my 680 when I used Anaglyph.
Found Tridef to handle 2D objects rather well though, crosshairs etc.

Forgot about that!

Nvidia are much like Apple TBH

Clee:

Clee, if your still watching, you have similar Sammys, did the Nvidia 3D kit work on them as I read that it didn't?

Would be grateful for the answer as I posted a thread a while back but got no definitive answer.

Put me out of my misery and tell me the answer.:)
