NXE Official thread

Well I can confirm that you can only play an installed game on the console it was installed on.
That's really annoying - why would they do that?
Maybe the solution would be to install it on both consoles (with their own hard-drives) and have my profile on a memory card (along with game saves). Any thoughts on if this will work?

What a ****ing joke!

Seriously why do this?

What happens if you turn the 360 on without a storage device in?

Gamercard.net should update your sigs with a new look.

Mine just comes up with the NXE on both (as both have been updated now).
I'm quite annoyed at this as I tend to play games in the bedroom and lounge and both would benefit from a game install. I suppose I'll have to give the memory card route a go, but can anyone tell me how large game saves will be?

I find it too cluttered compared to the old dash. All I require is a friends list. Ideally on the My Xbox section I would just like the box that says dannyjo22 and a small box to launch my game.

The friends navigation is slow. When you press the guide button I find it far quicker to navigate like that than scrolling through the dash. I cannot ever see my using the friends list in anyway apart from hitting the guide button and using the older system.

For me there is too much bloat. I'd like the options to hide more stuff in future updates.

Depends on the game.

anything from a couple of kb to many many MBs.

I've had the update for a while now as I was in the preview program. I was just wondering does anyone know how to set the default blade thing?

Like Spotlight is the default as it has that little square next to it, its also the same on another part of the dashboard (forgot where) But the default slide has a little square next to it. I was just wondering if their was anyway to change it? As I would rather see my gamertag rather than being stuffed with spam about mirrors-edge every time I go to dashboard.

SO the largest memory card available is 512megs, right? I'm guessing that would do for quite a few games (plus profile), but would their be any other limits that I'm not considering if I try this route?

Ah man it screwed up my background picture by stretching it :( There are no options to change it from stretched either. I don't like change ;)

Wasn't there a website with all the dash pictures? Anyone still have that?

You did move the disc to the other machine didn't you?

What's the loudest game out of:
GoW 2
Fable 2
Fallout 3
Dead Space

I'll probably be only able to install one of those at a time, according to my practically empty hard drive i have 13 and a bit gigs of space on it :\
