Will the memory card even help? Surely the download will be tied to the console ID not the gamertag.

Yes, but as I have two Hard-drives I can install the game on both and use the memory card for my profile.
I'm hoping that will work!

As for the new Dash, I like it, fells so much more slick and professional.

I am not bothered about avatars at all don't care one way or the other. Installing to HDD is easy and quick, Party chat is great and the interface jut works!

Took me a few seconds to figure out the only difference between online and offline contacts was the icon showing the game they are playing.

Not been on my Xbox today but checking from Xbox.com it seems that I can no longer use my GamerPicture at all and it has given me the default .

Infact everything has been reset to default...

Mine was a GFW one which I've never seen anyone else use on Xbox Live so I liked keeping it, now I can't use it again!

I only have a small choice of ones to choose from now too, nothing like the load I had before.

Never downloaded mine it was my default when I set up my Live account, had Windows live before Xbox.

I like it so far, although I have one niggle.

Using the 1440x900 res, I get a black border on the top and bottom. Anybody else have this and found a solution?

The game are rendered at a 16:9 res. I didn't expect they would change that. The new 16:10 ratios will render with the bars at top and bottom to prevent the stretching, and don't think there will be anything to be done. But I could be wrong...

have to say i love the update, far faster and a tad more professional than the blades (although the miis...sorry avatars, do detract a little).

installing games is excellent, can get about 2 on the 20gig HDD which isn't so terrible, the noise difference and loading difference is astounding!

biggest plus for me is the party chat, had a go with 4 mates, and it makes team playing much easier, without having to be on the receiving end of all the idiots that inhabit XBL
