no the GTS was at 800 or 820/1000 if i remember correct,
Yes the Q6600 was superb, had a max FSB of 530. remember i was on LN2

it was but i was getting hassel with the cpu and cold but so did a run without tweaking anything and got that. I need to do Vmem mod as card locks up with any more than 1050 mem

It’s generally accepted that the Qimonda 1ns memory clocks best at its stock voltage, hence why most Vmem mods dont really help on these cards.
Samsung K4J52324QC-BJ10 and K4J52324QE-BJ08 tend to overclock much better, it’s a shame most GTS's and GT's use Qimonda memory.
I think that Q6600 will do 5Ghz whats the VID on that one BTW?

Yeah, looks about right. The 8600GT isn't really an amazing gaming card.
