OcUK Build Logs

Not sure a build log thread was ever supposed to be fun lol.

Anyway, IMO listing the good and bad is very much a part of what this thread is about. I'm sure many people who want a new PC would have had their minds made up by this thread, both for and against.

I disagree. The threads here to show off pictures of the OcUK builds... as the first post says. If people want to stick complaints in their own threads, thats one thing, but ruining a great thread is something else imo.

Check for rouge screws :cool:

I can safely say I've 100% confidence that there will be no red screws, no loose ones either. ;)

TBH I do agree, however how long would a complaints thread last. So far a few issues have been highlighted. A complaints thread would soon grow into a 100 page slagging match that would suddenly vanish without a trace.

So far. ;) But start using it for complaints and it'll go the same, and I'd hate to see this thread go that way, as it's got some great stuff in it.

Anyway, I'm going to draw a line under it, and let the thread get back on track. :)
 
Sorry to read about Kel’s Rig! That has actually put me off ordering and been on three competitor sites out the magazines the last hour basically building a £1400 rig, although its April I plan to splash the cash. Basically mistakes are made but firstly having to return the Rig and secondly getting it back to the point a screw flew off is frankly Shocking……………….I would not want anyone fired but they would have to be given a warning, I always think there is fifteen builders and thirteen are a class act but I’ll get one of the new guys or sloppy joe……..


But that is life Bought a new Mini Cooper and one of the tires had been swapped when I picked it up….full apology a few days later and new Alloy and tire. Seemingly Sold does not mean don’t touch it!!!!!!!!!! But there is the Alloy swap it and put this part worn reconditioned one on…Anyway sorted it out but you do have to wonder at times.


No offence but the least they could do is offer this guy a compensation Voucher, but as said this is not the place more pic's

To be fair, you haven't heard OcUKs side of the story, and by the sound of it the bloke never even mentioned this loose screw to them, how can they offer a voucher to something they don't know about?

Even after reading it, I've still 100% faith in my build without seeing it, and with my previous experience with OcUK I know that even if I do have any issues, they'll get resolved. :)

no news of the computer build even been started or pictures of progress :(

i guess it just a busy time for OCUK hopefully should receive it before friday for weekend gaming sessions! :D

Yes it is!

What happens if it get into the PSU when you're moving the case around, or gets jammed in between your CPU/GPU fan (to name just a couple of life or death situations)

It shows a total lack of Quality Control.

there is a section for complaints of that nature - sometimes things slip by as with any company - but we always do our best to rectify mistakes

if you want to raise an issue - post in the customer support forums as management can help you out directly - thats what its there for :)

Sorry was under the impression the Guys that actually built were in here and therefore this problem would be noted! It might be gracious for them to push though a Voucher in my own opinion and as for “haven't heard OcUKs side” simply is none Customer is King in my View.

But back on Topic - New computer waiting at home, That last few minutes at work must be killing you, Its like Xmas when you were a kid. Enjoy it…..My System is Four years old so cant wait as actually everything has moved on so much.
 
wow, some people on this site really dont like anything negative at all said about OCuk on here.... i thought most people would have faith in OCuk and realise that they shouldnt censor the negative feedback as the truth should show that OCuk do the majority of good and stable builds rather than requesting the mods cherry pick the feedback to ensure this.

anyway,Let me just check, this thread is about OCuk builds, its titled 'OCuk Build Log', i recieved my OCuk rig at the weekend and just detailed the good and the bad.

I wasnt complaining as some do-gooders have tried to imply, if you re-read my posts i simply laid out the facts, other people said things like 'no way, i would return that' etc..etc... to which i replied its not a major problem, nothing is broken, everything works like a dream and im happy with my OCuk rig.

im going to post some pics at the weekend of my rig, will detail, again the amazing looks and build of it by OCuk, but also the silver paste that has blemished my case screen as long as no propagandists delete them.

But aside from the rougue screw that im suprised people are quite shocked about i said before the thing that annoyed me most was OCuk swapping out my defunkt Gainward for the POV, which really doesnt make a difference as i said before aside from the Gainward having a blue picture that matched the rest of my case... and i have no complaint because i just spec'd a GTX 280.

i have a funny feeling that the reason i had these problems was the time at which i placed my order, right before Christmas, and it was built and shipped before xmas-day, so i assume its the equivalent to the 'friday afternoon job' x10, in that the person building it probably wanted to get down to the pub with everyone else to start Christmas.

but again, im not complaining , just telling the unbiased truth and i'm happy with my build and would recommend OCuk to anyone, although i would add the caveat that their RMA support line is engaged an awful lot with no message/ringback service.

i didnt see the point on contacting OCuk about the rougue screw/blemish, i mean, what can they do about it now? i can either return it or keep it and everything works fine, and i didnt couldnt really be bothered spending the day trying to get ahold of their RMA department about such minor non-issues.

Got my system :D Not a single rogue screw found obviously as I expected. :)

Over the moon with it. :D Mahoosive thanks to rjkoneill and Locky (as well as everyone else at OcUK!). You guys have done an amazing job with everything!

No pictures as of yet, as my internets dead slow at uploading currently, and I haven't managed to take any decent ones yet. I'll have some up at the weekend deffo though!

If you have any issues with your system or something you're not happy about I will always try to fix any problems.

If you're not happy with the Side pannel I will replace it with a new one instantly.

This thread is about build logs and should be made clear that it's about Various builds we do and pics and logs of the builds + requests
for members to ask for their system to be featured in this thread, Any other issues Be it complaints of any nature please use the customer
support line and they will sort any problems you have or give us a call on the system support line and the guys will help you all they can.

Feedback is good, be is good or bad, the good things we keep up, the bad things we aim to better at.

like i said before - any issues with your systems - call us - you would speak to me or Locky anyway and we are always available to help
