10600k at 5ghz pretty easy to do maybe even at stock Vcore is a mega gaming cpu tbh, even vs the 3600/3600X it’s right up on productivity.
+110W over stock.Like to see the power figures on that.
If you want the absolute best for gaming, then the 10900k is the one to get. That said, I'd hold up upgrading from a 8700k until Intel's next gen architecture launches.
It's amazing that Intel is still king of gaming with a 5 year old architecture, just imagine how much IPC (performance per core) improvement we'll see, exciting times![]()

The Core i5 10400 appears to be a bit faster than the Ryzen 5 3600,and power consumption looks decent.

It is decent but he made a mistake. He used a high end cpu cooler to do the stress test. He should use the stock cooler. Amd stock cooler > Intel stock cooler.
1080p gaming with 2080Ti mind youA bit faster in what? As most reviews showed the 3600 taking on the 10600 in everything bar 1080p gaming.
A friend tried going 6700k to 9900KS to stop the 100%ing of Odyssey. 5.3ghz all core and it still hits 100% in the same areas. Only solution is turn volumetric clouds from ultra to very high (it looks the same). 10900k will be the same, you might get the GPU to run at 95%+ most of the time though.
