Sure it would cost more, but synthetic PU leather is not very breathable (which when you consider how long games sit in the chair, especially in warm temperatres, is actually pretty important), and real leather ages and wears much better. When you are already paying this price for "premium chair", an extra 50 quid would be well worth the investment.

This the reason I'm going for the cloth one.
PU leather will start to crack and go funky in awhile.

I am waiting to see these in real peeps homes not web reviews and not sure on the higher quality one as of the lack of padded armrests.

I will be going black leather look anyhow.
 
These cannot come in quick enough - It has been a painful wait since they were put up, I put my order in almost the same day, trying to explain to the wife why i haven't had it yet is getting harder each day lol - and the sofa is becoming boring each night!

Ah cool I have the AK Racing Gaming Chair Black Blue on order :)

I'm still with my parents for the time being (moving out soon) I justified it by saying its basically a metal shell which can't exactly brake and then sitting on my dads chair and almost snapping it in half leaning back. He might be getting one!
 
Didn't know about these until today. My interest is definitely piqued. If they had been real leather then I would have gone for one of those but not if they are PU.

Do they not do the premium in cloth?

I'll likely go for the Prime Black/Red.

Ahhh well im currently in the process of converting our sons "gaming" room which hasnt been used for any type of gaming since before his conception lol! So yeah time for a change get the boy playing some games and such :)

Nah there's no premium ones with cloth which is a shame but I guess "premium" automatically means "leather" :p

Shame that as the premium with the metal base is better. Still if the guarantee is 2 years on all of them I don't suppose it's too bad.

I agree with what some have said that it would have been nice if the arms were a better design and padded.

I agree with you. I spend about an hour each day going over these AK chairs and DXRacer and the only difference I can find is that the AKRacer holds 180kg and DXRacer is 120kg, and they both look ace as ****.

I can't decide on the Pyro or the £180 chair in black. Pyro is just looking a bit to leary for me, to much red.
 
All we have to do now is wait for them to come in!

The way things are looking mine is going to be delivered when I am away for a week for work! curse you OcUK!!!
 
I'm considering the AK Racing chairs but I'd really like to see some high(er) res pics of the chairs up close and a confirmation of what the materials actually are and if there is actually that massive a difference between the "AK Racing Gaming Chair Black" (£179.99) and the "AK Racing Premium Gaming Chair Black & Black" (£239.99)

I've currently got an Ikea Markus that I've had for about 6 years, it has done a good job but I'd like something with a bit more padding/support. Would the AK Racing chairs provide this?

Well if you consider that these are basically dxracer chaira which are very highly regarded they are woeth it. From what i can see the only difference
Between tge 179 vs 239 is style different base and ody shape and the fabric used cloth vs fake leatber.
