Thanks for the clarification, was a bit hesitant to buy this brand
Fanless 500W sounds interesting.
I have it, its great.
Can do 600w @ 80+ gold according to the manual or 500w @ 80+ platinum. Only fanless psu that comes with enough pci-e cables for 2 gpu's.
Unlike seasonics fanless units this actually has a proper heatsink.
How reliable is this brand? Is it as good/better than corsair?
I did some calculating on the enermax psu calc, cpu clocked and gpus at stock I'm around 800w, given both my phantoms are flashed with 350w+ bioses that takes me just over the 1000w mark when clocking.
So the question is would I be better off with the evga/sf 1300w gold or sf 1200w platinum? Time to change out this 6 year old hx1000
Nowdays they're a lot better than Corsair. All of the platforms SF has put out in the past few years are of extremely high quality (Golden Green, Golden King, Leadex). The only PSU's Corsair have that are in the same league are the second gen AX series and the AXi.
The SuperFlower for sure, really its a far far better unit.
I know I keep saying it, but the Superflower's are over-engineered, they could probably call the 1200W models a 1500W at GOLD rating and still be 100% fine.
The SuperFlower 1200W Platinum is pretty untouchable, and our price is very very good. They also delivery huge amount of AMPS on 12v rail too so are a great solution for powerful VGA cards and overclocking.
Like I say we shall be transitioning most of our system range over to these, including 8 Pack models, that is how impressed we are.
8 pack is not dropping Antec for his own personal overclocking rigs.
In fact he has requested our new 1300w HCP PSU which is due to launch in a few weeks.
8 pack is continuing to use Antec for his world record attempts.
Gibbo is talking about the 8 pack systems that OcUK sells. They are currently Corsair units. Bit strange that 8 pack uses Antec himself, but his systems are Corsair, maybe SuperFlower afterwards.
Problem for Corsair is, AX series is EOL, big big shame.
Gibbo when will you have the 850W in white in stock and how much?
