** OcUK EXCLUSIVE: SUPERFLOWER POWER SUPPLIES NOW IN STOCK!! **

Advice, i got a 290, swapping to a 4770k soon in a Watercooled case, going to be adding another 290 soon, im looking at the Superflower Leadex Gold 1000w PSU, im pretty certain this will be more than enough for Xfire 290s right?

You're going overkill by around 300 watts there even at full load.

But that doesn't matter if you can afford it, that PSU runs at good efficiency on almost all loads.

Go for it, it looks cool anyway :P

Hi there

Right, I've had some photo's taken of one of the Leadex White models, now you can really see the quality and construction of these units up close:-

Absolute works of art! :)

Another good feature of these is there's a switch on the back to toggle between fanless mode + regular. With corsair, if they have a fanless mode you're stuck with it and often they can be annoying with the fan going on off on off etc

The SuperFlower for sure, really its a far far better unit.

I know I keep saying it, but the Superflower's are over-engineered, they could probably call the 1200W models a 1500W at GOLD rating and still be 100% fine.

The SuperFlower 1200W Platinum is pretty untouchable, and our price is very very good. They also delivery huge amount of AMPS on 12v rail too so are a great solution for powerful VGA cards and overclocking. :)

Like I say we shall be transitioning most of our system range over to these, including 8 Pack models, that is how impressed we are. :)

You've got me 50% of the way for this 1200W PSU as an upgrade for my excellent HX850. Great that it's Platinum for part-time folding, potential for powering 780 TI SLI and 4930K under water, solid build quality, and 50-quid cheaper than Corsair AX 1200 which I was eyeing up for some time but lack of stock stopped me. I always say these things usually happen for the better :)

Couple of obstacles would be the option for variety of coloured braided cables which Corsair offers, what's the future on that Gibbo as I would love you to say optional braided cables are coming?
Would the SuperFlower 1200W 8-Pin CPU and 24-pin ATX cables reach in a 900D case without taking a direct line and therefore just about reaching it?

And from reading that 1000W review from JohnnyGuru, is the 1200W the same quality unit? Apart from just reaching Platinum certification its looking good again for the PSU market:-
This unit does pass for Platinum, but only just. It struggles hard to hit the mark in test three, and only passes with my 1% allowance for measurement error tolerances. Had the unit measured a watt or two higher, it would have failed. But it didn't fail.

Or maybe they're implying that a butteryfly is a super flower!

Btw, here is a list of the cables on all superflower psu's ocuk stock so far
