OcUK GUIDE TO ORDERING YOUR AMD 9070 GRAPHICS CARD TODAY AT 14:00

It was much easier shopping this morning than yesterday’s chaos. I got the reaper for my front room itx build. Now I just need to motivate myself to build the new system.

What are peoples thoughts/ speculation on the 9070xt vs 5060 16gb?
GB206 is going to be 75% the cores of a 5070 in its max config. 5060 or 5060 ti wont be in the same performance class as the 9070 never mind the XT.

At £630 I’m not attracted even when stick returns.

9070 XT MSRP $600 in GBP (with vat added) = £557

5070TI MSRP $750 in GBP (with vat added) = £698

THE AMD products are £630. The Nvidia products are £730. Massive markup. Not OCs fault but it’s there.

No they ain't £730 try looking around

I am no expert but I think this is just the stage whilst it waits to get to warehouse, in theory if you have order number and money taken, your secured a card, it will just take a few hours or a day to update, our warehouse is shipping as many as they can as fast as they can, but bear with us it is several thousand orders on top of usual to get through.
Perfect thank you.

Its changed to order confirmed now :)

When I bought my XT this morning on the mobile browser it just said "Premium Delivery (Arriving 2 working days (Mon-Fri)".

I couldn't select anything, so I assume it's DPD? I guess this will arrive Tuesday?

Anyone who bagged one last night been able to change delivery to Saturday/Sunday. In my haste to get one secured I just chose the next working day delivery instead of weekend delivery.

Logged a ticket but I know how busy they will be so not expecting too much, just happy I was able to get one at MSRP.

It just did it for the 3rd time! Payment authorised - back to Order page - not in stock!!! Not good for my blood pressure!

If I stay at my (authorised payment) basket page, and keep hitting F5 - will that work Gibbo?

No more stock left at present, it kicks you out because the stock has sold out, our checkout won't allow over sales.

The other place handles mass orders much better eg basket protection etc.
At the other place I had a Hellhound XT all bought and paid for yesterday by 2.05pm, including having to authenticate with my banking app. Meanwhile in my other browser window the OCUK site was crashing and burning before I could get the same card into my cart.

DPD often deliver next day items on a Saturday/Sunday

OK, thanks. Does that mean no stock in the company - or none available in the electronic sales system?

If the former, do you have an ETA for next delivery from distributor? Thanks

I ended up going with the 9070 Pulse in the end. Given how little I game these days, it was hard to justify the £90 jump to the 9070XT, especially since I might need to upgrade my PSU later on.

I would’ve preferred the Reaper, but that was mainly because of my good history with Powercolor cards. However, the Pulse has great reviews, so I’m happy with the choice.

Overall a great upgrade from 5700XT!
