** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Well spoke to Damien, gonna switch to the MSI 1080 as soon as i can get the extra money in the bank

Seriously, be happy either way mate - we'll both be happy bunnies...given time. I'm weirdly not that stressed yet (even with one 980 burnt out) since I want to waterblock the cards and that means waiting till July for EK to sort it out.

From what I can see on incoming GPU on a UK level I still think you will find we will end up delivering a load more cards custom cards than most in not all AICs.

Ben

I've been waiting since the 27th of May Ben. Right at 2pm when OCUK started selling. I was 12th in the queue must be even closer now since all the FTW refunds. Can us UK preorders get something extra for waiting so long. Like the new power adapter your doing for the new 1080 series. It'll be nearly 6 weeks if not longer before I even receive my card?

Just contacted support and all they could say was that they hope the Asus Strix cards come in on the 1st =/
Didn't manage to get what number I am in the queue either.
Kinda sad that I've had my order placed for not far off a month and so far have only found out about delays by checking the ETA's

I'll be glad when the vendors can deliver the cards but I guess i'm a little downtrodden about the wait and lack of information.
This really feels like one of the more catastrophic releases in the last few years

The EVGA SC now says the 24th June, but it has been changing to the next friday every week since they went on pre-order. I don't have a problem waiting an extra week or so however the false information is annoying.

I am sure OC is being messed around by EVGA as much as we are, I would hope that if they had concrete information OC would share it with the people that they have taken hundreds of thousands of pounds off.

The ETA's they are putting on delivery's are an issue though. I know ETA are estimated and the terms and conditions state etc. etc. But if you are going to give a customer an estimate it should have some basis in reality. At the moment these cards should be marked as having no date for delivery. Obviously less people will order something with this status on but putting a false date on to trick people into pre-ordering is not great customer service.

I know its not OCUK's fault, its purely down to Asus and the other manufacturer's for selling the cards before they could get a good stock flow. Thankfully I am selling one of my SSD's on the MM to get the money to change to a different model

I have to say that I'm thinking less of EVGA as time goes by. Earlier this year, my EVGA platinum PSU went bang (~6months old) and thankfully OCUK were great at replacing it.

This business with the GTX1080 isn't impressive. Their advertising suggests they are number 1 in the US but with this UK launch, I think they'll have their work cutout to be #1 in the UK.

"I'm alright Jack" as I have a Gaming X on order, but EVGA can easily do something as a gesture of goodwill towards the EVGA pre-order customers - whether or not they will, is another matter :(

We have already delivered our first batch of 1080 SC cards to the UK in decent numbers at the start of this week. Next round coming in mid/late next week in decent numbers again.

Can we have some information on the classified, ETA and does it come with the route power adapter, if not why not.

So I guess that's a no to my question above.

We are delivering GTX1080 as fast as GPU allows us to. We have delivered far more than any other AIC in the UK. FACT. I dont like to pass the buck and as you can see from my interaction on here I am not afraid to answer difficult questions or give bad information if I have to.

Giveaways though I would have no say over, I really don't feel EVGA have done too much wrong, we will aim to make everyone happy as quickly as we can and hopefully with more GPU in coming weeks we can do this.

Hi Spook

I dont want to give info before I have some set dates. I am still hopeful we will have this by mid July at the very latest but really have nothing firm yet, as soon as I do it will be posted here.

The Power Link I think you are talking about will be sold as a separate item and hopefully we will have a solution for all out GPUs.

Then people can have the option to buy this or not.

I see the FE editions have really slowed down now and seem to be in stock for quite some time. My local hardware store has had various brand FE's in stock for over a week. Is there any reason EVGA don't hold back on pushing more of those and start using the GPU for custom boards?
