Dead excited now. Was pretty adamant on a FTW originally, but I reached the stage today where I'll accept any AIB. Glad it's coming sooner rather than later.

Guess I'll prepare for the week after next. Seems silly to downgrade to a G1 now when I could have done it a week or two ago and got the card then.
 
Strix launch has been a joke. all 1080s have been a joke TBH, i know its not Overclockers fault but it has been very frustrating.

Gibbo could you let your guys who talk to customers on the phone know what is going on because they seem to know nothing about the cards going out to customers each day, i phoned today to find out what was going on and was told i would hopefully get my card at the 1st of June even though I was 66 in the queue. I asked if that was for new customers and if pre-existing customers could hope to get theirs before and was told all customers will have to wait till then at the very least, he made no mention of getting daily shipments even though i asked him about some customers already being shipped Stixes (one guy on reddit has been posting copy's of his shipping statements etc).

I've cancelled my pre-order due to this. If i had known you had started really actually started sending them out each day know I probably would have held on hope that I was going to get on by the end of the month. But given confusion your own staff seem to have on this issue and the fact not one update has been given to any of us in the form of at least a courtesy email at the very least. Not all of us think to check the fourms for this info. And its a bit rubbish to have to check the store page on the day to find out its been delayed again for the 3rd time.

Its already been nearly a month so you can understand my frustration.

The sad thing is, as annoying as all this is, in 3 months time when everyone has their card, looking back on this thread will be a little bit cringey for us fully grown men. My son has waited 6 weeks for his specific play-doh kit to come in, i should learn a thing or too from him, but im too impatient.
 
Could be worse - I had a G1 in the basket and my amazon payment didnt go through and they went out of stock.

Not sure if this is allowed but I found 8 G1s in stock elsewhere with delivery tomorrow to its possible to get one still - turns out its a mistake on their part and I've just paid. Today just gets better and better!

Everyone that pre-ordered the EVGA FTW feels this way. I'm trying to hold on myself. I called today as well and he seemed to not know much of anything. He told me to hang on a little longer. Getting harder to wait. Only so much waiting I can do. Nearly a month already:(

I understand but at the same point it's something to look forward to and it is frustrating. Especially for people who can't enjoy their hobby as they don't have a complete system at the moment. Just finding a distraction from it is probably a better way to make the time go faster but some people have been lucky enough to jump card model and get it faster.

I haven't got any holiday booked this year due to a very tight schedule for my new job and on my PhD. It's something to look forward to and to give me something to do in my free time.

Won't change my view on taking funds well in advance of confirmed shipment. Happy waiting otherwise.
