** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Might not be as simple as that and is just the lies the manufacturer is giving them.

Look at the MSI. Gibbo is big friends with their boss and when he tells them that 50 is been shipped to them on x date, Ocuk just passes that info on.

Then when 2 arrive instead, people get miffed at ocuk.

Ocuk should do what the rainforest does and just put no expected date.

Big bosses do not give shipping updates, their staff do that. MSI have had some internal problems with SKU's getting mixed up.

They sent me a shipping report today, I am still requesting a confirmation that it has actually shipped in full and that every line is as per their email, I am still awaiting that confirmation, but the email states:

ETD 29-JULY QTY
GTX 1080 GAMING X 8G 50
GTX 1080 AERO 8G OC 60
GTX 1080 ARMOR 8G OC 20
GTX 1080 SEA HAWK X 32
GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 140
GTX 1070 ARMOR 8G OC 40
GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 100
GTX 1060 ARMOR 6G OC 10
RX 480 20

MSI 1080 Gaming X, 1080 Armor OC, 1080 Aero OC and Founders 1080 are all in stock also right now. The above is addition quantity incoming due on 29th, which is tomorrow but realistically we don't expect it here until Monday as we have had no phone call from UPS confirming delivery yet for tomorrow, so they are no doubt running late or MSI has miss-communicated.

I have requested an update which they will no doubt reply to in around 24hrs.

You guys have to remember I reply to what I see and I do not see everything, I don't always have the time to post on the forum, it is kind of more important I am actually buying the stock and working on new deals, the forum is something I do when I get time to do so or in my own spare time. Those requiring updates should be posting in CS section, calling sales, live chat etc. and they can give you updates.

The whole 1080 series has just being a mess, still two months on and demand is above supply.

Gibbo,

Do you have any news from the 50 FTW cards that Ben mentioned for Friday 29th?

I am not getting any response from EVGA sorry, both Ben and his manager are on holiday. So now I am pretty blind and any shipments will be a surprise delivery.

GTX KFA2 1080 blower 0(yep,again 0)

I love it!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

OK seen it, I shall ask KFA2 for an update in the morning.

Last update from KFA2 was 20 units, those arrived and shipped out on 27th of May, yes it has being that long. The last email simply states delayed due to lack of GPU supply from NVIDIA.

I shall speak with my contact tomorrow morning, he is asleep now.

Looks like he forgot to tell his staff:(

The only other staff I can communicate with are logistics who email me when an order ships and the last order which shipped was earlier this week but that was 1080 FE, 1070's and 1060's along with some power supplies.

There is no one who can tell me what future shipments will be until either Ben or his manager is back which is late next week.

Whats the point, you are only given a date picked at random that comes and goes with no delivery, until the next time you phone up or web note the same query and the run around continues on its cycle.

I am one man unfortunately I cannot do everything.

The guys use the dates that the purchase orders have on them which were dates that manufacturers originally adviced.

I think the issue is an ETA is that, the word of most importance here is "estimated" some are hit and some are grossly missed by weeks at times.

NO reply about the Inno's again eh!.. Think we're wasting our breath here guys

Just finished talking to Inno3D, they have said they will be shipping me some X3 this week, not confirmed amount yet but will shortly.

Unfortunately 1080 supply is very short, due to now being a lack of memory chips, if its not one thing its another. :(

I am hoping we will get at least 10-20 X3's though which will clear the backlog. As soon as I see the shipment report I will post an update.

So there is no FTW/SC/Classifieds coming in whatsoever today by the looks of it.

I have no shipments on those cards and cannot see any shipments, as such I don't think we will see another shipment on 1080 SC, FTW for another 1-2 weeks and I seriously do not think we will see Hybrid or Classified until longer.

Of course Ben should be back end of next week and he will have the true facts and schedules, so can advice better.

NO reply about the Inno's again eh!.. Think we're wasting our breath here guys

OK great news, got the shipping documents:

1060 X3: 30pc
1060 Compact: 40pc

1070 X2: 60pc

1080 X3: 35pc (covers all backorders)
1080 X4: 10pc (covers all backorders)

This leaves Inno3D warehouse this weekend and should be with our forwarders next Monday, plane is Scheduled for next Wednesday so were looking at next Friday for delivery to arrive, could be a day sooner or a day later as no fixed ETA is possible due to customs.

*Wink wink* *nudge nudge*

Still Waiting on my HOF 1080 :(

They come back to me, same issue, lack of GDDR5X so they cannot build anything, they have informed me they shall take some of China's allocation and try to ship me 10-20pc HOF and some blowers to help reduce some of our backorders. But it seems the message coming from vendors is similar, lack of memory modules is delaying things.

This is incredibly frustrating now. I appreciate that it's all beyond OC's control and apportion no blame to them, but it seems their suppliers have serious problems with communication and delivering the product. Again, that may be due to factors beyond their control, but in that case they should be a little more cautious about the information they pass on.

Despite ordering at pre-Brexit discount price I'm considering taking the hit and seeing if I can find stock elsewhere.

Which card did you order and what did you pay?

Hi Gibbo, it was a pair of SCs at £599.99. As of Monday I was apparently 17th in the queue.

Again, want to reiterate that I bear no grudge again yourselves for this situation. Your help has been much appreciated.

If it helps, because on SC's when they land due to current weak pound on those original pre-orders we make no money. I would be willing to give you the Gigabyte G1 at the £599 you paid for a pair, as we only lose a few quid.

If you are happy to do that, just call or post in CS section with your order number to swap your order to a pair of the G1 at same price you paid for SC. If sales refuse to do this, just show them my reply here, saying it is OK to do so. :)

P.S. I can offer the same also on the Zotac AMP Edition. Or if your happy to pay Extra I could do you Zotac AMP Extremes at £629.99 each, I cannot do £599 on those as we'd lose a lot of money.

Hi Gibbo.
What is the best swap you can do for the KFA2 1080 Blower edition. £524
Only need a reference PCB as I will be water cooling it.
Cheers.

Those cards cost us a good £50 less than the next cheapest. :(

So the best I could offer would be on something like a Palit Jetstream (very good card) for like £569.99 Inc. VAT which is £50 of regular price.

I do rate the Jetstream/Gamerock and Gainward Phoenix very highly as their coolers are the best apart from Zotac AMP Extreme but the Extremes cost a small fortune.

If you are happy to take this upgrade, contact sales with my reply here buddy and they shall switch your order and charge the additional amount.

Sorry we have nothing at same price but KFA2 did us an awesome price, they actually made a pricing error and have decided to honour the price until our very large PO is fulfilled which well at this rate will take them a long time, especially now there is a huge memory shortage.

That is.. Hopefully, good news. Thanks for your efforts. When you say that covers back orders, does that mean that everybody already in the queue up to the amount being received will get their card without being queue jumped?.. Otherwise back orders would not be covered

More stock incoming than there is back orders, though I cannot see Amazon orders, but there should be enough to cover everything.

Hi there

1080 FTW, we have 70 units due today/tomorrow EVGA have informed me, this will clear all backorders on this part. :)

Gibbo......it's me again, but it is for me very important
I would swap pre order KFA2 GTX 1080 "Reference Blower"(£600) for GTX 1080 HerculeZ Twin X2 .(£620-1 in stock)
I want to pay £20 extra.

it is possible??

OC3106769
(pre order 08.06)

Yes just call CS and show my reply here, they will sort for you. :)

Hey Gibbo

I have a EVGA 1080 Hybrid pre-order made on 14/06 for £689.99.

If I were to switch to the Zotac AMP Extreme (GX-102-ZT) could I get a similar pre-brexit price?

Understand completely if the answer is no.

Thanks.

Guys if I could do pre-brexit pricing, the cards would be at those prices online.

You need to realise our typical margin on a VGA card is 5-10% in order to be competitive in the market. The change in the pound against USD meant it weakened by 10% against the US dollar, 10% is a good average to use, in some cases it was lower and others higher.

But in short the pound weakened typically by more than we would make profit wise.

If I was a car parts dealership and selling most of my items at 40-100% margin as most car parts have this kind of margin, then guess what, pricing simply would not of changed as 10% would be easy to soak up and to simply make 10% less margin. Unfortunately in this industry, particular components margin is typically single digits, we throw parties when we can hit double digit margins and still be competitive in the market.

So its not a case of just doing a pre-brexit price, we simply cannot without actually making a loss unfortunately or literally breaking even.

As promised, all those who placed pre-orders their orders will be honoured at their pre-order price and EVGA at somepoint will indeed ship Hybrids and Classified's, so far they are yet to start shipping, as soon as they do you will get your cards at the prices you pre-ordered at, yes we will make a loss but yours orders will be completed. :)
