** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

its amazing how Nvidia put the FE edition for 699 then have everyone tripping over themselves for aftermarket cards which are the same or abit more money than the FE lol @ Nvidia Bravo I say

all these aftermarket cooler gpus don't think they do a great deal this gen

id buy the cheapest plastic 1080 there is and just slap a waterblock on it would be so much better especially when people start releasing bios flash for these cards

also If I had to buy an aftermarket card it was defo have to be zotac amp extreme because they actually cherry chips the chips unlike evgas classified who just make everything around the chip solid but put any old random chip in

just my 2 cent :D

Ive run SFF cases for a few years but have stuck with open coolers even though the hot air is being dumped into the case. Firstly they get a little help from being next to the case side which often has many holes. Also with recent CPUs I think CPU cooling is not such a problem for gaming - maybe a rad system isn't needed just a decent sized heatsink and quiet fan. On my current Fractal 500 I just have a rear exhaust which seems to do a good job of pulling the heat out the case but I do have to watch the power target on the GPU - so Pascal will be a good benefit.

Can you post a picture of your system wih the side panel removed?

Same for me. I am building a new X99 system Saturday based around the 6850K chip and my last build was custom water but not anymore. It is a chore to fill and empty and swap bits out. Massive benefits to water but i will be going just AIO for the CPU this time. I don't oc for games either.

Nice. Would love to see it after built :)

Have the same issue, using a 780Ti still and the 1080 is very tempting. Trying to hold out for the Ti next year.

Saying that I'm impressed with how well the 780Ti still holds up, those extra frames though...

Well customer support believes that the Xtreme will come in on the 17th. I hope that's correct because I'm dying to play some new games.

So have all cards been put back to the 17th yeah? I can wait, been rocking my 660 Ti this long, whats a couple more weeks haha.

Plus, can't afford a Vive till July anyways, lolol.

Just preordered the EVGA 1080 Hybrid at 4pm 02/06, I'm 17th in the queue. Customer support said they don't know if that will put me in the first batch but they assume it will :) They also said that I can call for a refund on the postage as it should be free for all 1080's but someone forgot for the classy and hybrid

Gives me a month to get ebaying :p

To anyone wondering, as the pics for it have been minimal, the hybrid has the same backplate as the other 1080's (Paul's Hardware) and does not come with the quick release tubes in the concept pictures. I believe EVGA plans to sell those separately as part of their expandable aio solution as a separate card or possibly an upgrade shroud. The regular hybrid should have the same braided cables as last gen (Computex) rather than rubber with the blue ring.

Also, anyone notice the Asus Strix jumped £40! If you want the classified I'd preorder now, EVGA hasn't officially priced it yet and it could go higher as well. I think OcUK is listing 1080s by the least preordered if you search for it (not confirmed) - at least the Classy and Hybrid are among the top 3 and are the lowest known queue according to this thread, with FTW appearing near the bottom of the search and the highest queue. Might help you get one faster if you're choosing between a few.

So yesterday I changed my order from the EVGA superclocked to the inno3d Ichill x3.. I am going to change back again I think. The UK based centre just sways me too much.

Where do you reckon I'll be in queue then? 800th?
