** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Hi there

OK this makes me happy, we've just had a further 2 palits of Zotac 1080 AMP and Extremes land, we now got tonnes of them. :D

Hold buddy, as we will honour all backorders at prices paid. :)

Aye aye, I'm not worried about that I know you guys are reliable, it's just I'm sitting here with a 7970-based rig that blackscreens if I try push it out of idle power draw for gaming. TW:WH is just sitting there in my Steam list taunting me :p

Try manually clocking its memory down by 500MHz. If that fails knock 200MHz of the core and undervolt it slightly.

Sounds like power/VRM is failing on it.

That's great but they are quite a lot pricier than the competiton........

Even the Gaming G1 is priced at only £609.99 from another competitors site..

I know OCUK are doing all they can and it's great they are offering the G1 but I'm not sure it's worth my while.

Aye I tried the full whack of fixes before I committed to buying a new card, nothing worked in software/BIOS and neither did reseating the heatsink with new thermal paste, it's a dead'un alas.

A competitor has strix cards in stock (though not the oc variation), might need to crack the whip with asus to get the thumb out.

They are all the failed OC cards, reboxed as none oc cards.......guess there must be lots of them..........;)

Is the G1 stock likely to last until tomorrow?

More of those just arrived also, the issue is hundreds of Strix orders, so it really depends on how many people are switching.

I'd be calling at 9am personally. If you miss out next large of Gigabyte which is a few hundred is landing next week, so worse case you have one more week or so off waiting.

Unfortunately with Asus we struggle to even get a shipment manifest from them or a schedule, they are not as easy to get information from. :(

Whereas with MSI and Gigabyte I talk to the MD/CEO's at HQ level, so I can get such information and also much larger stock quantities. This is not because Asus like OcUK less, we've being receiving the lion share of stock, the issue they have had so little and I cannot talk to someone at HQ level, I talk to a guy, who talks to another guy, who then talks to another guy and well you get the idea.

I am sure Asus will come good, but they are simply taking longer.

Ive had my Strix for over a week now - the thing is a beast. The wait was a major headache but was seriously worth it. Performance wise there's tiny difference between any of these cards it seems. My bro's EVGA SC offers almost identical performance and he paid £80 less at launch. With such short stock and no information the option to switch to a G1 would seriously tempt me if I was miles down the Strix queue.

...and no I didn't get my Strix from here! a competitor kindly delivered my system last week and its been brilliant.

Hi Gibbo..When the Inno3D X3's and X4's first came out, the latter was £10 dearer because of the extra fan...now it's £20, fair enough. I would pay the extra £20 if i could switch to the X4 from the X3 i am waiting for. If you could do that as you have offered for the Asus and EVGA cards to be swapped to the G1 at original price, i would bite your hand off. Any chance?

Check last page chief, it's a no-go sadly.

Just let peeps Know I put in complaint at Asus asking them why overclockers being kept in the dark that there is unhappy pre-orders wanting to know whats happening. I doubt they will reply but if someone from Asus starts talking to overclockers it would be a start.

Thanks Gibbs for the offer but my graphic cards still working and can patiently wait if worst might jump to GTX 1090 or 1080 ti when its pre orders lol wonder which will come first this card or future cards.

Hey Gibbo,

I made a ticket about this but perhaps you could comment. Is there anyway if I used finance to order an OC Strix I could switch to the G1? Perhaps if we could sign some sort of disclaimer or waiver? Really really don't want to have to deal with Hitachi again.

Cheers

Sorry as I do not work in sales I really have no idea how the finance system works, sorry I cannot be of more help.
