Still not here, the 33 units seem to have got sucked into a black hole, unfortunately this is how Asus work, HQ will ship an amount and then they get lost and then a week or two later appear at the distributor with our name on them. I have no idea how Asus shipments work, except it seems extremely confusing as they will ship from their HQ, to a hub, then another hub, then onto a courier and then into a distributor and then into us.

Whereas Gigabyte for example ship from HQ in Taiwan directly to OcUK. Hence they are so much quicker and able to give much more transparent info.
 
Gibbo I originally pre ordered on the 2nd June but by the 10th June we knew the ETA of the FTW 1080 was quite fictitious so as I had a new build on the order too I was told I needed to cancel the card to have the rest of my build sent out . Is there any way I can get those 8 wasted days done away with to get back my original place ? There was just no way I was leaving my new build lying about in a warehouse for what now would be a month and a half and the clock still ticks . My original order was OC3103487 and you will see from what I spent I was not for leaving it in a warehouse

Thanks for the update Gibbo.

Ironically, the only card I would swap to now would be a Gainward GLH and not a non OC Strix......but thats out of stock too.....and you'd want the price difference. Its €749 on a large German site which works out at STG£620 odd which you would think would mean a straight swap should be possible but obviously the vagaries of margin and £/$ as opposed to £/€ ER's screw with that calculation. I simply won't pay the equivalent of €860 to OCUK for a GLH when I could get it for €749 from Germany.
 
Thanks for the option of letting us change cards, I have changed my second order (card for a friend) to the G1 to be delivered tomorrow.

FYI I had 2 Strix OC delivered today (ordered yesterday) from a well known UK high street retailer who you wouldnt normally expect to sell enthusiast products (or have stock) and who hadn't even labelled the product as OC (O8G) and priced closely to original OCUK Strix OC price.

EDIT: Must be the real deal as im seeing 2000Mhz in Heaven out of the box using MSI Afterburner OSD

This hasnt changed its just the same amounts as this weeks shipment Ben has already confirmed this weeks shipment will be here on time and Gibbos update means there is another shipment sent today to be received early next week . Hopefully they will send more early next week and this should be the begining of the end of all our misery
 
Just on the Zotac extreme, you have to give credit. It's one of very few cards where even if you enjoy overclocking, you can be happy with default performance on all levels - core speed, memory speed and fans/temps.
 
Well now, that's my Strix order sorted

Just rung up, dropped to the non-OC version as suggested and was told i'm 9th in the queue (bit different from 286th..). These are going on water and i'm SLI'ing so overclocking is less of an issue.

Thank God for that.

You may pray that a load of people before you in the original queue dont decide to switch too . Its quite soul destroying to keep going backwards down the queue I can assure you . Especially when the new queue is only at 9 so far . Not meaning to pee on your parade but just be prepared

Fingers crossed the numbers shipped do go up as 10 SC per week would mean another month of waiting for me :/

Fair comment but I suspect not many people will. Even so, Gibbo is indicating volume coming in in the near future on the non-OC and basically bugger all on the OC so I'd rather not wait another month. I genuinely hope mine ship tomorrow all the same :eek:

Fingers and toes crossed for ya chum I wouldnt wish this nightmare on anyone .Hopefully the stock comes in before many more switch

No, the shipment Gibbo mentioned IS this weeks, arriving next week. Yet more delays and only 10 SC's. The 10 SC's that were meant to arrive om the 7th will now arrive on the 18th or 19th :/

EDIT: apologies I appear to be mistaken, have just seen Ben's latest posts.
