** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Just received my large box of Haribo. Awesome thanks. Gonna take me ages to get through that lot. Oh yeah I found a Zotac AMP extreme 1080 hidden amongst the Haribo too. Thanks guys.

ok, I am feeling slightly used here ... all I got was a small haribo bag hidden behind the huge 1080 Amp Extreme box ... feeling a lot less valued ...

Had enough of waiting for the Strix OC so jumped the ship and changed to EVGA FTW. I really hate the concept of paying 70 quid more for the cheaper card but 2 months is just too much. Never been so disappointed in Asus before. Lesson learned, next time straight to EVGA. Hope they will receive the 50 today as Ben told in his post since it looks like I'm the first one now in the queue for this. :)

The cue system oc have in place is unfair, if you jump ship you really should go back to end of the que regardless of a early pre order day, people are getting shoved down every time there is a small batch comes in.

100% this, it's whoever's problem that they 'chose' the wrong card, that choice, and subsequent move, shouldn't penalise another patiently waiting person!

Good news for anyone waiting for the STRIX OC, you have gained a place in the queue. I just received the STRIX OC from rainforest and I am switching to the FTW here.

In a way you are right. On the other hand should I be punished even more because the brand of my choosing still failed to deliver after 2 months? I placed my order on the first day (May 27th. IN MAY, damn it! :) ), been patient ever since. All the other cards are coming in frequently now so 1 more or less will not make any difference in the FTW queue anyway. If Ben is right OCUK will receive 100 cards this week only from the FTW... I'm sorry if someone has to wait a little longer because of me swapping my order (I was not the first and not the last anyway) but clearly everyone who ordered on the first week already received their cards so putting me behind a person who lets say ordered yesterday is just wrong.

On the other hand why should somebody who paid 2 months ago, go behind somebody who paid yesterday???

Its only an issue with retailers who take payment on preorders though and tbf, nobody expected that two months later we would still be on preorders

Completely agreed. I've potentially missed out on two shipments due to queue jumpers. OCUK should really review this practice. I can't think of anywhere else that has this policy. Can you imagine supermarkets prioritising people at the checkout based on the time they walked through the front door. Carnage.

i get its not your fault your choice still isnt in stock yet but why should others get punished for you jumping to another queue its not there fault so why should they have to wait even longer. your right your not the only one to switch which is why its even worse as its not just one space/person.

Go to a shop and switch queues half way through and see if the people in the 2nd queue will allow you to take the same place you had in the original one. See my point? You took a gamble, and it didn't pan out - I feel for you, but what problem is this of the person that placed order 2 days ago for another card that just came in stock? Do you honestly believe it is OK for this person suddenly to lose their place so that you can effectively swipe the card from underneath them? Don't get me wrong, I'm in the same boat, I placed my order on 12th of June and still waiting for FTW BUT I would never say it is OK for me to take someone elses place only becasue I've been screwed by Asus or EVGA or whoever. It just wouldn't be right and sure as hell I wouldn't want anyone to take MY place in MY queue after I have been waiting for my FTW for 6 weeks and counting! Not my problem Pal! This should be straight forward. You change your mind, you lose your place in your queue, you end up and the end of whatever other queue you want to wait. OCUK should not allow for swapping places. Cancel the order, refund the money, let the person place a new order. But the fact is, this way they are guaranteed they won't lose a customer, by offering him someone elses place. Shame it is OK to screw over the other guy that has been patiently waiting in his own queue minding his own business - that is OK, sure... For most of the time poor fellow won't even know someone is screwing with him making him lose his spot and keep making him wait while others get screwed each and every time.

I just spoke with CS - they told me they expect FTW mid week, maybe Friday.. Am I to understand the 40 already came and were sent today and I am yet again screwed by 'fellow' OCers who decided to jump ship?? I was 3rd in the queue for today!!

To be fair it's a pretty bad example. For example I paid for A card more than 2 weeks before you. Not just taking your place before paying for A card. I get your anger, totally understand the argument but well... Plus I had to pay 690 for the FTW and I guess you paid the original 609 pounds. So for exchange of taking (in your eyes) the unfair advantage in the queue I paid more and paid way before you did. Again, I know it makes you and others upset but believe me I'm not wining on this, not at all. :( We can all thank Asus for f'ing up big time.

I just spoke to customer services and they said they haven't received any FTW cards today.

No, you paid for an Asus Strix 2 weeks before him....
