** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

I'm not suggesting anything by this comment, but I didn't sign any terms and conditions regarding loosing my place in the pre-order queue. This should be clearly stated during the pre-order process, especially (like me) if you handed over your money straight away. I wouldn't be so annoyed if the money had not been taken immediately, but i've been £620 out of pocket for over a month now just to have my place in the queue put back and back.

I completely understand the pain for those who have been waiting for the Strix, but not queue jumping is a basic human principle.

In a way you are right. On the other hand should I be punished even more because the brand of my choosing still failed to deliver after 2 months? I placed my order on the first day (May 27th. IN MAY, damn it! :) ), been patient ever since. All the other cards are coming in frequently now so 1 more or less will not make any difference in the FTW queue anyway. If Ben is right OCUK will receive 100 cards this week only from the FTW... I'm sorry if someone has to wait a little longer because of me swapping my order (I was not the first and not the last anyway) but clearly everyone who ordered on the first week already received their cards so putting me behind a person who lets say ordered yesterday is just wrong.

That's just tough luck mate and i do sympathise, but a queue is a queue and that's the chance you take. Personally i would never queue jump and i would take exception at someone doing it to me.

As I said, this is OCUK way of retaining the money and not loosing a Customer who already paid them and now is ****ed and looking to go elsewhere. By promising him retaining his order date, they make sure he stays with them. They won't change that, it would cannibalize their sales in such (I'm sure rare) situations. And guys in the other queue are left hanging waiting for their orders. Bad policy, very short sighted, as in the end it leaves people with bad taste in their mouth and unlikely placing a new order with them in the future.

Yeah, true. This is why I feel sorry for someone who will get the card later because of me. I truly am. As it looks like the FTW cards are coming in big numbers every week so I think they will clear out all pre-orders very soon so it should not cause that big of a problem. I think that everyone is just a bit more grumpy and annoyed than usual because of the delays and normally this would not be this big of an issue I guess. =/

The FTW cards were supposed to be arriving Friday which was then pushed back to today. Haven't been received today either for delivery to customers tomorrow. I hope the build quality is better than the evga logistics, as even getting correct info on deliveries is turning into a joke. I suppose we can ask the rep - nope, holiday :D

Plus Ben is now on holiday so the only information we'll get is from Gibbo, and I doubt he knows any more than we do!

Fingers crossed for them coming with the ETA on the site.

It's a farce CS ain't got a clue they can't guarantee it Gibbo was saying he had friends at MSI at HQ level but hasn't said anything else since.

Summat shifty is going on with it the barcode has had stock several times and OCUK ain't had none in the meantime despite having pre orders.

I'm not dumb these companies can track their shipments is it hard to email MSI and go hey are we getting these cards in?

It's boring waiting to the point I'll end up overpaying to some other company that actually has them.

I can't blame you, from your perspective you waited just as long and in the end you're getting a different card you initially ordered but at least your wait is over. What I, as so many others, am mad about is that OCUK allows for this to happen. This is their MO and they don't see they are turning more people against them in result. Bad business model if you ask me, but in the end it will be them who will pay the price.

Back to you, as I said, I don't blame you, and I am not naive. If I were in your place I would probably use this system to my advantage as well. Screw the other guy, right? It's human nature. Everyone for themselves. Alternative would be to cancel your order, then go back to the site and place a new one (thats what all of us here suggest the 'swapping' should be like) resulting in loosing the spot and being placed at the end of the queue. But it's another matter to have this 'by default' and completely a different matter to do this yourself.. Why should you if everyone else is using the system to their advantage..

Rant over, but make no mistake, I have no beef with you or anyone else for that matter that jumped ships, just mad at OCUK that operates this way screwing their loyal Customers in the process. Clearly this system is wrong, and shouldn't work that way and it does work this way by design and already made me make up my mind concerning future dealing with OCUK. I used to buy all my stuff from *D*A*B*S* (I can use their name as they no longer exist as such entity) and this was my first time to use OCUK. I learnt my lesson. Thx for reading.

i think in the future i will pre order pc goods from another vender or just not bother due to ocuk making people/me wait even longer just because someone wants to switch product, its ******** and overclockers knows it

Have to say I'm in the same boat now as the last few posts here regarding FTW queues... Nearly two months down the line I still have no card, CS can't give an estimate and I see other users jumping queue due to swapping over from an even more delayed card. I get it, I would want the same service especially if I had to pay the difference too but it's a pretty bad policy for those that have stuck it out on the one particular pre-order. I can't imagine it'd even be mentioned if it weren't for the delays but considering there's so little units being shipped each week I guess it actually is impacting the few of us holding out hence the frustration from some. I for one will definitely never pre-order a card again - although I really can't wait to replace this GTX 670 so I hope my order is processed this week! :D

Some of the stuff thats goin on you cudnt make up phantom shipments, queue jumping companies that are sending thousands of dollars of stock but 'dont know where they are'

If they said it how it is would respect them a bit more.
