** OcUK HAS 21 CUSTOM GTX 1080 MODELS READY FOR PRE-ORDER !! **

Yeah it gets taken out as you order. Two weeks later after holding onto my money and no card? Really bad.

Did you pay with Amazon? Because I pre-ordered and they haven't taken my money and won't until they process the order.

e: I'm also itchy as hell to get my card but fortunately for me Hearts of Iron IV works just fine under iGPU.

I have just ordered with Amazon payment and it has not been took straight away, oh, and I'm only 471 in the queue at this time for a STRIX 1080:eek:

FYI, Just got an email that my custom PC with the asus strix 1080 has been shipped so there were shipments for the Strix yesterday. I was 29th on the preorder.

They received a small amount of the Asus 1080 Strix but these were allocated to system orders only. :(

I wonder how much interest ocuk have made on all you lot that preordered.
Must be quite a lot :D

Depends, most UK business accounts have 0% interest rates, a few of them have 0.25% APR. Maybe there are others, but never really looked.

You'd have to move the money about to earn any meaningful interest on it and that could well be more of a headache than the few hundred pounds they would earn in the few weeks they had it all kicking about.

There are some ways of running zero balance accounts for day to day banking, where all assets you hold are kept in a higher rate interest investment type account, money coming in to your standard account is moved out nightly and payments coming out of the account are taken during the normal banking cycles with enough money automatically moved in to cover the payment.

Not something I've even looked at in many years so things might have changed or be easier now.

Either way I would say the amount of interest earned on pre-orders is fairly insignificant.

No I payed debit. Lesson for the future! It's been 2 weeks, can I get a refund?

I ordered an EVGA 1080 FTW on the first day they came up, I've since decided I am going to make my first custom water cooling build. So I need to change my order for a different card, but I'm not sure which one?

I'm trying to find the cheapest card with good UK warranty (which allows you to remove stock cooler without voiding) which is waterblock compatible, any advice would be much appreciated :)
