OcUK Mafia game thread - Game 3

No response to my Killswitch reasoning?

Why if he was mafia would he change his vote?

One possibility is he saw the lynching was ensured so then changed his vote (to someone who hadn't had any votes, ensuring they wouldn't be competition) so that once it was revealed Brabbinho was town the people who voted for him would be under suspicion, maybe the other 2 mafia are in those that voted, maybe not.

@Pudney

Similar to Shami,
No vote Day1 - no big deal, not many did.
Voted Day2 - the last to vote Jedi, followed the crowd, voted when it no longer mattered.
Voted on Day3 - Same as day 2, last to vote Brabbinho.

Similar voting patterns, that's all. I said on day2 I thought you were town, I'm just a little less sure now.

I can see the being last a bad thing, But then for Jedi, I already pointed out me abstaining would have been the same as voting for him, and voting somewhere else would have been reliant on the non voters actually pitching in which as it turns out would have been fruitless. I made the best I could in the situation. Brabbinho I wanted to switch, but the whole event went massively crazy, again if I had switched it would have been pointless as I would have voted K1LLSW1TCH out of annoyance. In both cases there would be accusations of me making a useless vote. I'd much rather stand and be counted with everyone else who made a bad decision than make a wasteful vote.

I would say so far when I've tried to voice my suspicions I've been pounced on and accused of pointing fingers "multiple" times. In both occasions it was only one post of me seeing something suspicious.

Right now I'll reiterate - other townie's cannot abstain today. If I was mafia I'd be applauding a potential townie not voting.

I have to say you are more convincing than Shami. By process of elimination the 4 I remain the least convinced by are:

Fortyseven
GhostWKD
Gooner
Shami

Just realised what you are referring to Pudney. Don't know if you want me to put it out in the open just yet. But you are absolutely right. Every member of the town MUST vote tonight.

Well i've been doing a fair bit of reading (read a tiny bit if anyone at works looking!)

Few key thoughts;

Not going to lie, i'm slightly nervous about Egon having such a mixed stance to K1llswitch, at first he seemed to be putting k1llswitch up as a potential mafia member and now seems happy he's town. Can't decide if I'm maybe looking too much into that though as I don't get long to catch up on a large volume of posts here. That said before Brabbinho was lynched he did come up with a theory that these two were working together (admittedly he had them as working with me) because of votes occurring after Egon was a potential lynch target very early on.

K1llswitch, see the above - also feel like his voting is a little all over the place with constant changes being made... confused townie or a spoilt for choice mafista?

Shami, One of the more active players which may or may not be anti-town, gut feel is very suspicious and seems to have well thought out explanations for any questioning in his direction. Has done some pretty good summarising early on though to support peoples votes.

Fortyseven I've always found myself teetering on the edge of if he's mafia or not, his behaviour early on was almost definitely ringing alarm bells but seems to have changed most peoples opinions and I think I may be included in that. That said, suspicious move to come out of the blocks voting for a lynch before any discussion and may be enough for me to vote in his direction depending if he's on again or happy to sit out of it.

Gooner, very quiet but then I have been very quiet this game as well so not beyond realms of reasoning that he may also have a genuine irl reason for it. Not too much to go on with him really to be honest, other than he's often pointing the finger at people not being discussed in the first place which could mean something but just as easily could mean nothing.

Pudney, my gut feeling is that if he were mafia then he wouldn't have risked flipping the voting away (if only temporarily) from Brabbinho who we now know was town. Explains away any concerns rather convincingly but that in itself makes me a little uneasy.

Really I just don't know who to trust and who's playing the game really well. Reading my summary back makes me feel like an incredibly paranoid person as I don't seem to be content that anyone else is town!

He wasn't the only one, but his was the most odd. He voted for someone, then said he wasn't suspicious of him and was almost certain he was town (based on the belief that iviv wouldn't have made someone mafia two games in a row) It was very odd.

Actually I said I wasn't convinced Brabbinho was mafia at the same time as I made my vote and I explained the reasons why. I have gone over this several times now and it just feels like you are using this as a stick to beat me with for some reason. Saying that I was flip flopping all over the place when in reality all I did was change my vote, once, which others have also done during the game. Curiously enough the person who I said I was certain wasn't in the mafia turned out to not be in the mafia...

If you're really interested in rooting out the mafia then you need to stop trying to pick holes in me because you're barking up the wrong tree completely.

Yes you have explained it, but your reasoning was and still is incredibly flimsy. The past doesn't just stop being relevant, we have to consider everything. Of course now you've told me you aren't mafia I'm completely convinced...

Well in that case you may as well just vote me off seeing as you're so convinced. In fact I would rather be lynched than murdered by the mob just so you can see how completely and utterly wrong you are.

If it's still quiet in about an hour then one of us should, it's too much of a risk otherwise. I just didn't want to give the mafia help! Right now although I think Fortyseven is town, I really want him to be mafia :(

If Ghost was lynched tonight and he turns out to be scum it wouldn't make much difference tbh. Obviously it's still better than lynching a townie, but the game dynamics would remain the same. Iviv has posted more in this thread than Ghost.

Fortyseven less so. He has contributed far more, in fact there are only 3 people who have posted more.

Yeah we have to go for someone :(

**** it, if we just sit back then we lose anyway.

Vote Gooner Leroy

I was suspicious of him yesterday, I feel he's stayed quiet until there is not many left and Psymonkee was accusing him before he was so rudely killed.

I find Shami's vote interesting.... not that there's any townfolk present to debate it with. Is there a houseparty on that we weren't invited it to?

A penny for your thoughts Pudney
