OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Thanks. I've not had much luck with reverting to different Bukkit builds, playing with plugins and running the server completely vanilla so atm I'm at a loss as to what to do aside from restore a backup (sadly from just before we upgraded to 1.3).

My god thats gunna hurt like a bitch, at least 20 hours of work gone for me, 5 hours of that was building a new safe house and moving a crazy amount of items from two vaults and the safe room :(

I can only apologise. This sucks hugely :/

Still testing at the moment - reconverting the original map. I'm going to custom-build a backup script to avoid this sort of thing happening in future. All the auto backup scripts seem to suck.

With the new save format you can keep certain regions(chunck collections) and restore only the ones damaged by replacing those files only. Have you considered rendering a map of the saved game to see if you can spot an obvious corruption of the map.

I think the problem is we dont have a backup of the map since update
i dont think this will work in this instance.

Giving this a try now.

Server log suggests a certain chunk is corrupt but the details it gives me don't match up obviously to a chunk file in the level data folder.

I've traced the error you posted on IRC to one of the method calls added by craftbukkit and posted details in IRC. Can't say for sure whether of not it is an issue with their code revision or a corrupt chunk itself. I'll try to decipher the chunk mapping to identify it.

What texture packs are you guys using? :)

I put on AaGeOn's BumpMaft [v1.5.9] last night and it looks much better than the original textures.

Is there any better texture packs out there?
