Looks like the latest Bukkit has reasonable support for 1.6.4. I doubt I'll update until tomorrow though as it's kind of 'peak time' atm and I also need to verify plugins are ok.

Dont do it, 1.6.4 has some serious server bugs that can result in silly high cpu usage and map corruption.

I'd hold off for a while, spent some time today testing this and I'd say it's not ready for prime time (build 812, mc 1.6.4).

Step 1: Download the updated minecraft launcher from here: http://www.minecraft.net/download.jsp , this will ensure it doesn't autoupdate without asking first.

Step 2: Delete your .minecraft bin folder and replace it with the one you can download here: *Link Removed*.

If you need a hand with any server testing before you put it live - give me a shout, happy to (try and) help.
Although it seems like there are so really big show stoppers at the moment, even if bukkit worked..

thx that has worke dit back but I use Misa's Tex pack & will not run with it i guess coz its not a new bin file, but at least I can play 4 the time being

Unfortunately both Misa and the author of MCPatcher have both updated their builds to 1.6.4 so you will probably need to wait until we update unless you still have a copy of the old versions of Misa and MCPatcher.

Pretty bad 1.6 glitch for those who don't know about it.

Hopefully it will be fixed soon, already been a few patches to 1.6

You do know you do NOT need to delete the bin folder only the minecraft.jar file. and then replace the one single file.

I am well aware of this but there are other factors you have clearly failed to consider.
