OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

hmm dont know if this might help but i have an on-line store of my own.

I dont know if that would be any good to the server having fees paid.
but i am happy to talk with the people in charge to see what can be done.

unless you have a payment gate way in place to take the subscription if we go the route of a yearly payment. £12 a year seems fair to me. That is If it is decided that you want to go that route.

anyways if you are looking for someone to help mod (yes i know i am the noob)
i am willing to help. Even if it is a case of just going through some logs to see who is greifing. Call it a mini support thing or the monkey worker :P

So what's happening regards to everything?

Prob nothing due to -

1. From the first week the server was up 4-5 months ago stuff was being damaged so some of the players in the top 40 of the whitelist damage others work not just players ant the end of the list.
So removing the last month or 2 worth of players on the whitelist is not going to fix that.

2. How is a server moderatior going to be able to catch the players that are damaging players work anymore then any other player on the server ?
They also can't see hundreds of blocks away anymore then a player can.

Also how many are going to pay to play its alright players saying they are happy to pay now but we see.
Also as soon as payment is taken players are going to want things fixed as thay are paying even if the things cant be fixed.

We seen that bbhere does not work not just on the OcUK server thing but the fact bbhere is still being worked on as in the program can not track lava or water being dropped.

so till next time....
Roll on the full game release and bye to beta.
As I am sure this will all be fixed by then as its a very broken part of the online side of minecraft.

I'm sure there are privacy concerns with posting unsanitsed logs as they contain all personal messages sent. I ran a few regex scripts on them to extract certain event categories and they are very revealing; confirms many things I could only speculate on. However, as a tool to track griefing they are still limited due to the limitations of what is logged.

what did it confirm?

what did it confirm?

Just my opinion on certain people. Not acts of griefing as I'd need the xyz and report from victim as to what occurred to look at specific incidents which judging by recent tactics would not be logged anyhow (washing track away with water etc).

Ok after trawling through the logs, i found there are things which go on that are not recorded. for instance - i know an exact person, location, and object. but it is not showing up.

-just ctrl-F and searched em all individually. still no sign of suspicious activity to my vault door... yet it shows the activity of me repairing it and freddie breaking it while testing it last night...

One thing that stands out with those files - 25 of them are only recording what they've written on signs. NOTHING ELSE. No blocks destroyed/created.
So I've you've had a block put down, or destroyed in your house, and bbhere shows zip - it's one of those 25 people, who for whatever reason, aren't being recorded.

So many that is something the admins can look into fixing/restarting.

Secondly..lol..

Should be fixed now, it's an issue with how bigbrother mod "watches" players and "see's" players.

Oh and minecraft.net seems to be buggered

Yup this is exactly what i found too. Although it's weird how it records ages back for some people. and not at all for others.

-Windle, you say it's sorted, will that reflect on new information? I'm assuming it won't recreate the files to show the actions in the past.

It should only be newer whitelisted players who weren't logged as ti doesn't appear to auto-update >.<

But everyone on the whitelist is now on the bigbrother watched list so everyone is recorded.
