True. Though one less person's vault to deal with is a good thing for me

Out of interest, who were the people that were earlier voted up as potential 'moderators' for the server? I know Tefal was one.

I was thinking of giving such people (very) temp ban, rollback, etc abilities. If they were willing to take on the hassle.

Would it not just be easier to get us all to empty vaults and make a safe room somewhere leading up to a move of server's?

I'm assuming that at least a few people will fail to empty vaults so I'm trying to be as cautious as possible when it comes to the server move.

Well really everyone should has a duty who plays on the server to keep themsleves up to date with this thread, should be told to move out of the vault and do it as requested.

True... But it's not really much harder to do what I'm suggesting and this way we won't have people who've missed the past week of posts get annoyed. Hopefully

You have got to at least give some days notice for the vaults but apart from that disable logins to current and move to new.

So I just as well leave my items in the vault?

I've not logged in to the old server, I'm just waiting for the new one to get up and running, so annoying roll backs and lag on the old server.

I've got too much stuff in my vault and I cba moving it.

If I lose it I don't mind starting again. There's not many precious things though and the rest is easy to get back.

I really don't think that there's much danger of people losing their vault contents. Most likely is a delay in being able to get into your vault.

(no promises, though testing indicates that this is most likely to be the case)

I just moved my stuff so i an get at it without waiting, that and i never really go to my vault so it's easier to have it all on hand

My plan wasn't to migrate fully until the weekend as that's when I get back from another week away on business. If FTs is stable though and FT/Garsands are willing between the two of them I'm sure the are capable of handling it in my absence. Copying the latest world from the multiplayer server would merely require backing up the server then downloading the world backup for upload to FTs.

As above, this weekend I'll be able to get properly stuck in to setting up any plugins/troubleshooting any issues but again if FT and gar can do it in my absence then feel free.

Regarding a new thread, I think with how busy we're getting we might need to consider using the ocukmc.co.uk forum as that way individual threads can be started which means it'll be easier to follow what happens.
