This rule has been added as myself and other admins have noticed there is an increasing amount of homophobic/racist and sexist comments. It may well be harmless fun but it may not be to the person it's directed at or other players on the server. It stops now, this a friendly community server and while banter is allowed homophobic/sexist or racist banter is taking it a bit too far.

Nobody has banned free opinion. You're entitled to your own opinion as much as the next man, but that doesn't mean anyone has to listen to your opinions.

If you can't get on, tell us the error you get. As before I remember you couldnt get on weeks ago as you were waiting for someone to delete your .dat file. Not sure if that ever got done.

Who are joedray and gundog, and why are they messing around with my builds and leaving creeper damage behind. I'm sick to death of it.

And this is the 2nd time I've caught gundog. 1st was building a cobble 'escape tower' inside my house. FFS.

Any objections to Sylvet/Tefal being made moderator? They'll be expected to uphold the rules, arbitrate in player arguments and will be able to restart server/configure plugins etc. They will be able to kick but not ban (banning being with-held for Admin level only)

Sylv/tefal, will you accept being a moderator?

I had an initial chat with FT about this a few days back and to be honest I really didn't like the prospect of this. However the situation is looking much improved and the server is once again moving in a positive direction so much so that I'd be happy to help out in keeping it moving forward. If the offer is still open I'd be happy to give this a go, I'm sure between Tefal and myself we can cover anything that crops up in Windle/FT's absence.

As you were one of the main culprits (and yes it is evident in the server logs) I'm not overly surprised you're objecting to this.

Banter and general chit-chat is fine (hell, look at the way everyone abuses Fur). I have no problem with people having a bit of back and forth. However racism/sexism and homophobic comments overstep the mark. We have a range of ages/gender etc on the server and some of the stuff that has cropped up in the chat is well overboard.

Some players let their children have a look round the server and there is just no need for some of the stuff that gets said. We're not prohibiting people having a good time but there is a line and that line has now been marked and anyone who crosses it will be punished in line with the rules.

I take it you don't play any online games then which censor swear words either?
