Go to linktart.co.uk and click on your name on the right side to access your profile. On that screen there's a MineCraft box. Click that and the rest will be obvious. Once done you'll be able to access the server.
 
Well finally took the plunge and registered on the site, already play on another server, just would like to wonder round and check out all the great stuff that's being built.

Some of it looks very impressive.
 
Can we increase the size of the bb here logs or something, because someone smashed their way out of the Asylum and didnt fix it...and not creeper dmg either, by pick axe.....but bb here showed nothing. They even bypassed the button to get into the wing by destroying two blocks next it....talk about lazy - lol. :D

Can you log in and show me where the damage occured?
 
After being AWOL for a while I've decided to start playing on the server again, I assume there's a new whitelist for the new server?

If so could I be whitelisted please? :)

The watched list thing isn't a problem. It just means that people haven't logged in.

The issue is that I had to drop the bbdata table last night due to the server hang people saw (this is because the bb logs get too massive). This means all bb stuff up to that point was lost.

I need a better work around but atm this is the only way to avoid the huge delays in restarting.

unless it's changed since the last time we tried on the last server it requires the map file to be edited.


one thing you could do is just have an option for "spider " or everything else, because spiders can be filtered though a 2x1 gap while everything else needs a 1x2 gap.

Could you set restart time to like 6-7am, no one is on then so half hour to an hour restart time would probably be ok.

Yeah. As far as I'm aware, admin summoned spawners just summon pigs/etc.

Annoyingly the restart tool only lets you set a time based on however many hours since you last restarted. E.g. 12hours/24 hours from me starting up the minecraft server manually.

I'll try and sort out an alternative.
 
FT would a script used to copy out the BB here data file before restart
work? you know like a copy and past of the file directly before it gets cleared by the restart

In that way of damage is found an admin can at least look at the file directly.

i know it is not ideal but only a short term solution.
 
I was having a wander on the server earlier trying to find sights and the thought occurred to me, hey why don't I start a community project and record all our best creations and map them whilst im at it. I was thinking something like recording a video of each project, which would involve getting the project creators on the voice channel and doing a quick tour of each project, so we don't miss anything and you get full credit.

(as suggested earlier) we can even try to get some of the more famous minecraftiers to come visit once we have a decent map.
So what I would like to know is what we think are the best (completed) projects of your own and what are the best projects you have seen so far (maybe we could vote on it on the community site or something?


What do you think?

I don't really think that would be feasible. The database is massive.
 
How far back are the records? If it's months and months, then surely that is too long?

I'm sure we could agree on a safe, but shorter length which would make things run smoothly.
