OcUK Minecraft Server - Rules & Chat

Yeah this feature in MM is really great for everyone's enjoyment.
It's like mob spawners all over again. Everyone wants one, and everyone wants as bigger one as possible.
 
Well last nights lag was a nightmare, had to log out and log back in 5+ times.

One minute i was digging away a wall, next minute it would re-appear, so i would be encased and couldn't see anything.

Anyone know what was causing the lagg?
 
It seems to still be up for me?

So is this automation apparently causing issues? If so can people please try to not use it much (read: at all) and I'll attempt to organise some kind of test later.
 
wow so someone broke the server last night LOL

so far i have had no issues this morning no lag or anything
if the auto farming think is an issue then just make a rule that it cannot be a certan size
the cart collection think is something i would like to keep in game
i have a nice plan for it soon.

Just to update FT, Andy did a mass tree harvest using the new MM mod and server died part way through, I suspect that BB is having trouble coping with large scale events like this, the new BB does allow exclusion of leaves which might prevent this from happening.

Edit: on the plus side Andy has ensured we all get a good night's sleep :)

Hmm...leaf-decay was already turned off as I didn't see it as that useful. I suspect the size/amount of farming going on was causing the issue really.

Even if the bb here logs can be disabled for it and it fixes the lag and crashes - I still don't think this mod should be there. Everyone having free chests full of logs defeats the point of a large part of the game. Might as well just give us access to /give.

It does sound like this is potentially a bit broken. I'll quite likely reduce access/etc to this mod (without breaking cart collection too much, hopefully).
