Will we be able to chose were we have our houses moved to? Like, load the new fresh map and then cartograph it and show it to everyone and everyone can pick?

I'm afraid not - would be too difficult to manage. We'll make sure there's space between people's buildings though.

I'm not in need really to save my house, havent really been playing long enough, but i'd like to save whats in my chests there.

My idea is to dismantle my current house and pack what i can save into chests and then transfer them.

Question is, shall i just do that at my current location or is there a specific area for this to take place ? or make a small cobble house and fill it with chests ? and then post details of that ?

Cheers :)

Safest bet is to build something near the newspawn area. Then it'll likely be automatically moved.

Hi FT, any news on the spawn area getting moved? Otherwise my buildings will be a massive PITA to move due to the tunnel in between. Let me know so I know whether or not to rip up my minecart tracks to save them. I will also need to know so I know whether to post on the LinkTart forums for my castle to be saved. As I mentioned, it would benefit a large number of people with the least effort to move the spawn area. Cheers!

We'll be looking to move as much as possible yeah - aiming for the lot but can't promise atm. CAn you transfer the into to a post on linktarT? much easier to find stuff

That's OK. I will just wander around and find a nice place and build another house :p

Can I have my house close to spawn if it does get moved for ease of moving?

Ok I have a question, my house is not shown on the carto because it is too far out, what do I do? Can I just provide co ords? Also when is the deadline for applications to be handed in by?

It doesn't appear on the zoomit cartograph I posted a few pages back? If not post the coords and I'll look into a cartograph just of that area if it's beyond the current one.

I will have a look tomorrow (on iPad atm) but also don't worry about a carto, there's only two of use living in that area anyway.

Is there anyway to turn off the emails every time someone says something on the linktart thing? I've had several rather annoying emails to my personal email I'd rather not get them.

Secondly, I'll log on and put some things in the new spawn chests if that's going to be moved across probably tomorrow morning (Wednesday morning) and that's me sorted really.

Go to your profile (click on your name), then settings, then notifications tab, you will find what you need there.

Oh I don't know what to do now, im pretty sure that the admin team will move my house becouse it is too small etc... But I have around 10 full chests of stuff in it! And it would be a really big pain moving them all over to spawn and them taking them back to the new house that I will have to build :( but I know it is worth it to stop all of the issues we have at the moment.

So any suggestions on what I should do guys?

Thanks

I can't sleep :(

I'm gonna need a small days notice b4 it goes down FT so i can dissasemble the train system :P - dont wanna do it too early while people are moving stuff etc.

What's the word on depth of the areas being saved? Is it just straight down to bedrock? i.e. level 3 (i think its 3)

i.e lots of people have rooms under the ground level.

thats a good question, i think this will take some time to transfer all builds to new map, i suspect that it will be over a week "correct me if im wrong" ?

maybe we should do a list of requirements i.e.

1. photos of plot we want to save.
2. confirm whether there are important materials you want to save.
3 how many blocks are required for the new plot.

i think FT will post a list of criteria as to whether our build will be saved. I will be posting my plot i want to save tomorrow, which is right beside yrthillians, spent over 3 weeks building from scratch.

the only question i have is what if you build is on different levels of height, would this be saved on another hill on the new map ?

/re depth of land: In theory we can go from the top of the skybox right down to bedrock. However, the 'deeper' we go the more likely it is you'll have to re-landscape the area your build ends up in as there's no guarantee that the natural land level will be the same (and trying to line it up exactly would take tons more time).

/re requirements: Please see the post on linktart.co.uk about it: http://linktart.co.uk/groups/minecr...with-your-applications-for-building-transfer/

/re notice: I'm away Fri night and all of Sat so it's not going to happen until Sunday at the absolute earliest. More likely later.

@Freddie: Post an application on linktart about your house. You'll be able to get a definite answer.

Alex - probably don't remember me as it was years ago. Used to go out with Bri. There were many hazy hazy nights spent with you guys (and you with us).

Ah, I think I do :) Small world. I'm still in Manchester actually though have been concentrating on boring job stuff for a while so my social life has gone downhill somewhat.

When I get home, I am going to start to dismantle all my other buildings and projects, just to gather materials. I will dismantle my old house for the wood and also dismantle everything around my house and that will make it easier for the mods to move it if it gets accepted. :)

Yeah I guess it would be a lot to handle, but how much space are we talking about? I'm gonna be expanding once the airport's done :p

I'm not sure exactly. We'll have to deal with it closer to the time.

In my 'perfect world' we'd probably have one quarter of the entire world map 'filled' with the copied projects split equally amongst it. I'm sure that it won't be practical to do it that way though.

Sounds like a good plan. Make sure you've put as many details down as possible about the area you want moving on the linktart forum.

When we enter the coordinates, how far down should we go? I ask because I don't want to loose the floor. So say about 2 blocks below our house?

Also im wondering how much extra land we will have as I am planning on dismantling my structures I want to ensure I have the option to set-up show somewhere suitable.

Also I think it might be practical to limit project sizes initially pending approval, so once you have declared a spot you will need to gain approval to expand further.
