OcUK Motorbike Meet 2012 *Interest and ideas*

Really hope the brakes on my bike are sorted before this :(

In fact, I really hope they're sorted by the end of next week. Sick of not using my bike, it's so boring!

-6 here at the moment and I'm riding home from work soon, looks like it's going to be a late winter.

Sorry guys this is my fault. I thought last weekend on the Saturday morning "Blimey it's been warm so far this winter, I think I'll re-tax the bike and go out for a ride as it looks like we wont get a proper winter at all". :(

There's still the best part of 2 months to go so the way the weather is lately, it could be 30 degrees at the end of March.

seriously, is it march yet?

Want to get back out on the bike! should be getting hotter around then.

I wimped out and drove today for the first time in a couple months. It was... most boring. I may dig a way out of the car park later!

Finally braved the cold weather and made it all the way to my garage :)

Fitted the speedo healer v4 I've had sat in the draw for a little while. Was a synch to fit. Shame it's to cold to calibrate it correctly as it means taking it out for a blast my my sat nav to get the true speed against what the bike says.

Just sorted out the brakes on my fzr. Well, sort of. Need to rebleed the back as there seems to be air trapped inside.

Now I'm faced with another problem. Rear wheel bearings have gone.

Hopefully this will be the last thing to sort out for the meet.

Days like these just make me happy that I have my Chopper to jump on as soon as the weather breaks.
My Comedy Moustachio should be ready by then an all. :D

So then... the meet is now just 4 weeks away, not long left! and thankfully the weather is picking up slowly.

Has everyone got their bikes ready yet? I plan on dragging mine out of hibernation for a ride on Sunday if its as sunny as it says it will be here :)

Can't wait :D

I have just put new wheel bearings in though I'm not sure they're gonna last.

I had to take one of them out three times which may have weakened it.

Time will tell but other than that, my bike should be sorted after a chain and sprocket change along with an oil and oil filter change.

Also gonna be fitting some chromed steel down pipes and get rid of the exup valve altogether.

One thing about the meet weekend is on the Saturday night the clocks go back so Sunday will have an hour less daylight in the evening if Sunday is the day we meet and we're all still out that late.

Hang on let's work this out in case I've confused myself.

If the clocks go back 1 hour that would mean if on the Saturday it got dark at 1800 then on the Sunday it'd get dark at 1700.

Unless I'm being extremely thick, not beyond the realms of possibility, it'll get darker earlier on the Sunday.
