OcUK NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB GDDR3 @ ONLY £109.99+VAT (£129.24 Inc. VAT)!!

Hi there

Its against the rules to ask for competitor pricing or even hinting!

However I've priced the card so OcUK should be the cheapest around or on par with the cheapest thats for sure. :)

Gibbo chill  The guy was probably asking as OCUK has been advertising "cheapest in the uk" so I think it is a fair question from the guy.

If you advertise that way, expect questions that way :)

Great price btw :D

Hey guys - Bit of a noob, as I aint build a new pc for 3 years... (because the last one i build did such a good job :D)

I just built a new system, and it has a 8800GT in it but a different brand to this one.

Its got 680 core and 2000 memory.

I was wondering, could I pop one of these in with it and run them together? or do they have to have the same core, memory and the same brand?

yes you can run them together AFAIK, in the worst case it will run both cards at stock 600/1500/1800. But maybe you'll get lucky and got another GT that'll do the same clock if not more.

Ok thanks for that matey - I got a 8800GT but am a little bit disappointed with the performance so was gonna just stick another one in.

This price is really great. Shame I got mine when the demand was high and paid £180 :(

EDIT:

Whats the deal with these physix cards? Worth it ?

Yeah current spec is:

Q6600 Slackr
Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz
2 x 76gb raptor
EVGA 680i Sli Board

Thanks for the help guys - Sorry if it wasnt appropriate for this thread, but seeing as it was regarding the actual card here i thought it was better then repeating elsewhere.

Anybody got an idea of the size of these?. how much bigger than a 7900 GTO is it, also would there be much of a performance increase from the 7900GTO.

Cheers

night and day. looking at the pic looks like it's about the same length but with single slot cooler.

This really is a stinker of a price considering I paid £170 when it first came out :(

Interested in this, 4400x2 @ 2.7ghz, upgrade from a X1900XTX @ 1920x1200. Good match? Also heard people have been having AA problems with FS-X, anyone post pics?

Just need someone to buy the X1900XTX..

Just thought I'd mention that I've got one sitting here this morning, I was surprised to find that not only did city link deliver it before I got in at 8:40, but also that this card is an ECS type and comes equipped with an accelero S1! I'll let you know how it goes once I get the Q9450 to put in, but it seems pretty good. Its even come down in price by £2 + VAT since I got it yesterday.

Extremely tempting to get a couple of these to go with my A8N-SLI.

Reckon they'd go well with an Opteron 180?

As long as it's overclocked. The higher the better. Also a big resolution for your gaming would be a big bertie bonus ;).

It's got a mild overclock to 2600. Any further than that and I'd have to relax my memory timings a tad, which I don't like to do.

1920x1200 monitor. Currently have an X1950Pro.
