When i see photographs like this, i really want to become as talented as you guys are. I think i have the eye for a scene - but the entire package including a camera - the settings and photoshop are what i need to aim for.

its all down to practice matey, doesnt matter what camera you have, its the photographer behind it that counts!!

just get out there and take pictures and above all else, have fun ;)

If you've got the camera skills you won't need photoshop...


Just a thought ;)

FWIW: photoshop and I are inseperable!

I am just reading up on the rules so I can participate next month but being a nub in digi photography can someone explain to me how I come by the EXIF format?

(using a D50)

Lovely, thanks for that. Do I now upload a .txt document with the JPEG or can you attach it to the JPEG itself? Wee bit confused,... being Irish it doesnt take much ;).

It should be embedded in the jpeg, the camera adds the EXIF. Start the reader then use it to open a .jpg and it will show you the EXIF :)

Most useful thanks for that :) Been using Windows Properties and manually typing it all out up until now.
 
Looking through the entries Mohains and FStop's have impressed me the most. Not only for the quality of the shot but for its originality compared to others. Hopefully i can think of something as creative as these for the next comp :)

Not so bad - I'm about 75% of the way through. There's a lot of entries this month and the theme is a tricky one to judge! :)

Not sure how the other guys are getting on - I've not been in touch for a while.

Same here - Jhadur made me post it even though I wasn't all that happy with it or the idea of other people looking at it.

I was going to take it down before the deadline of the comp but Jhadur decided to blow up his PC and therefore steal mine to play Guild Wars while his is dead and I forgot all about it.
 
Hmm I wanted to enter something for this one but got the new camera stuff the day the compo closed :S oh well !
