OcUK Poker Thread.

Damn. Seems hand histories for Play Money hands aren't available.

Still, it very much annoyed me. Had to go all-in a few tourneys ago due to low chips, dude pulls three of a kind, I'm praying for the flush and it lands on the river. Next thing I know, I'm out? Maybe he did get the House, but I certainly didn't notice it.

How do I request a hand history? How many hand histories can I request?
Click on the dealer tray and select ‘Request hand history’. You can request up to your last 200 hands, your hand histories for a period of time, all the hands you played in a tournament, or any specific single hand. Note however that we do not archive play money or freeroll tournament hand histories, and as such, these hands are not available to be requested.

It depends who you play with. I know Stars keeps your entire HH, and you can request it via support

Fancy getting back into my poker - used to play loads but family/work etc now take up most of my time. did ok in the SnG's and used to make about £80-£100 a week or so.

Mainly played on pokerroom.com but what are people's preferences for sites now?? Pokerstars?

I love the way anything can happen. :D

Pandion don't get discouraged by that last hand. You made the right move. (It seems like this guy got impatient as he still could have lasted another 5 rounds. It also seems like you are beating whatever he's holding as if he had anything better than you he would be slowplaying it)

In the long run that call is +EV. Variance is a pain in the ass though.

quite a fun graph for last few weeks :p

Blimey! You played this "rush" poker at all Rotty? Been trying it the last few days, lot of people trying bluffs and failing.

Rush poker sounds like a bit of a disaster to be honest. Multitabling provides the same sort of benefit but has the advantage of staying on the same table (So if you want to fold and get straight into another hand you can, but you can still stay on the same tables long enough to build up profiles of who you are playing with)

It's a disadvantage for those who track hands, and not, to those who don't.

The reason there's more bluffing/aggression on rush poker is because its more difficult for people to track your playing style (unless they had data on you previously) and aggression usually wins in such a situation, which is why they do that.

The HUD in the latest HEM beta is compatible with Rush. In FR Rush, I find players to be incredibly nitty in general and it is so easy to abuse them both pre and postflop. There also seems to be more instances of players very obviously sitting with their whole bankroll taking a shot. In 6max there's more of a mix of nitty 9/7 players nitting it up and players with 100% steal rates. You just have to work out what type of player you're up against and be relentless 3betting over obvious steals. Find a player with 100% steal and high FT3B and you are onto a winner ;)

Yea, that's what i had in mind actually when i said "unless they had data on you previously".
When it first came out, there was an insane amount of preflop 3betting from the blinds, bluffing etc. So a lot of players became tighter than normal for them to try to take advantage of this. Not sure what the balance of things is now though. I'd guess the 'sharks' are the nits waiting for the fish to bluff off their stack against them.

Do you regularly play Rush poker? I only tried it when it was new - i normally don't even touch ring games, i'm a sng player.

Nothing like knowing when you are beat :p

add up how much he left himself with :D
