It would, those PSU's are good to around 1600W. At stock you'd be looking around 1000-1200W depending on cpu/gpu load.

at them prices. i only have a evga supernova 750watt psu,and im not upgrading my psu for them.

i think i'll stick with me 290 Tri-X for now and wait for the 390X, i only really play D3 and TESO lately and it doesnt struggle in either of those, then once the 390X lands, it will be one of those and a new Freesync screen.

2nd hand 290 prices will plummet also

Would be a super upgrade for you. Good thing about PC internals, the other half cant see what you have bought. Much harder to hide say, a new bigger monitor!

At least you wouldn't have any difference heat wise.
