OCUK Rolling Road Day 11 @ Eurospec (Guildford) - Sat 19th March 2011

I've not been to one, but with getting people on and off it as well, we'll probably be there till around 4ish won't we?

If not later, yes.

The dyno runs themselves (once car is in the room) are usually 10-15mins, but you have the previous car leaving, the next one coming in etc. which adds to it.

Also, the organiser (when we've been at PS) often has to stay on longer to sort out the money etc. once all the cars have run which can take some time, so whilst most people get to the pub, that person and a few others will wait about.

Don't forget they run the cars 3 times at Eurospec, so 3 different runs to compare/get average = more time on rollers.
Plus they actually will plumb in the boost etc for turbo'd cars, we will be there most of the day I imagine.

They did this at TRL this weekend but they were that efficient they got through 20 cars in about 3hrs, was very quick as they do the three runs in a row and take the average. :)

Unfortunately I might not be able to run my car as BMW are saying they will have it for 2-3 weeks from today :( The repair has finally been authorised but they said they will have to redo everything the previous garage did which will take them 2-3 weeks... gutted!

I can run my hire car though, I was upgraded to a 1.4 Turbo Vauxhall Meriva!! :D...:( Going to call my insurance tomorrow and see if they can get me a like for like for the next few weeks.

Will I look like a tool if I bring a car that hasn't been washed in 2 months, with wheels that haven't been washed since last year? :o

I really don't have time to clean it, and even taking it to the 'swirl-free' American carwas will leave it with scratches..

ahhh wish i had my mini with me, im up in dorking working at the moment and all these meets are so far away from me normally :( plus im working nights :/

That's what I'm going to probably do. Don't care what the internets think.

Guys, speaking with Vigoro about convoying down from Oxford hairdresser style. Is anyone coming from this direction or want to tag along the way? I remember the Winchester meet that I organised a larger convoy, but not sure who is coming from our area.

Let me know and I'll organise it.

In other news, I have been through my job list..
>Car cleaned and ready for a quick wipe on Friday as it was filthy
>I wrapped the grill in matt black vinyl (no chrome)
>Insurance renewed £400 cheaper than expected
>As a result, I have a new aFe intake on order to combine with the exhaust :) (not sure if it will be fitted in time..)

To do:
Service inspection 2 & tracking... probably after the RR though
