The LS2 in the Monaro chassis and its gearing will return 24-26MPG on the motorway at 70mph, push that to 90mph and it will be 18-20MPG. The Corvette is better as its 400kg lighter and in most cases has a much taller top gear hence why the Vettes tend to achieve over 30MPG with same engine.
On the subject the EVO is superb on the motorway even though it is only a 5 speed and at 70mph its over 3000rpm, but 32MPG is possible and at 90MPH you'll get 26-28MPG.
