OCUK Rolling Road Meet 4 - Bolt on Goodies - Official Sign Up Thread

A rolling road isn't hard on the clutch, your bringing the power in smoothly and then accelerating with the clutch fully in.

No issue with fast gear changes/ clutch slip/ overheating/glazing anyway

Great! Thanks for the info... As I said once it's moving it's fine and doesn't slip much, just the inital launches it doesn't really like ;) :o

I was thinking about this trip today so much so that i signed up for some break down cover just in case :)

Other thing that crossed my mind was the fact that i havent booked any accomodation yet. I take everyone who is aiming to be there on the Friday and doing the night out thing is staying at a Travel Lodge ?

Has anyone booked their accomodation for this yet as i don't want to be stuck with no where to sleep ?

Im sure there will be, half the people on the list wont turn up.

How true :D

I've firmly decided, I'm going at a steady pace down there this time. I think thats the plan, but I'm doing my own thing.

I got there last time and my head was spinning.

I'll convoy, just I'll do a steady 70-80 all the way there...

I just find driving fast much more tiring.

The way you were talking, I thought you meant you were going to do 50 all the way there.

I won't be doing much over 70mph myself. If I'd have gone straight from my house to Combe, I'd have done it in around 2 and a half hours at 60mph.

Noooo, why, whats up :(

problem, being a lack of licence due to the gay totting up rubbish and the fact i got 3 points on my scooter which were due to be wiped less than 3 weeks from when i got radar'd.

Might have it back by the date, hopefully :/

Ballcakes.
I invited my dad to come over to see the races as a Fathers day present and he's just told me that he's booked the weekend 30th June - 2nd July. Instead of the RR it looks like I'll be at the horsey racing.

Sorry :(
