You should be shot for selling the Aston, though :p

I don't see how a more beautiful car could possibly replace it :(

Its a sad world we live in but seriously if you park a Ferrari or an Aston anywhere you're just asking for trouble, kind of limits the use so having two cars like that really wasn't worth it, getting two new cars to replace them, one of which is somewhat better to leave around (911 C4S) but there's still going to be one nutty car which I will keep quiet for now :)

I always hoped that even in the UK an Aston was a thing of beauty - something everyone respected, rather than derided the owner or felt jealous about like a Ferrari.

I guess I was wrong :( Shame really. Still, C4S isnt to be sniffed at. Is it a 997?

No matter what the car is, someone will find a reason to hate it.

I have noticed that people are more likely to move over/let one out if one is driving a British car than they are if one is driving a red Ferrari... Can't think why.

Yeh its a brand new one, if you're curious, we simply don't like the 911TT, more fan of the NA engines in the 911 so the C4S seems the better choice. May sound odd but turbo engines aren't for everyone, was one of the major reasons the 911 GT2 was sold so quickly, it may be fast but its actually not as fun as the NA purely from my perspective.

Dropped a bit of a hint actually anyway, Romans have the "other" car on their site atm since its from them.

Throughout my current phase of 911 research thats pretty much what I've found echoed - the Turbo is great, but the N/A models are simply more complete and a better overall package.

Out of interest, I know one of the cars was your Dads and you were presumably on the insurance - how much did it increase the insurance cost by?

I know i'm probably the worst for this, but:

ONLY post in this thread to say you are going, DO NOT use this for conversation about the meet. I will be asking dons to delete any chatting posts as it makes my life a living hell to sift through 20 pages of posts come the week before the meet to see who is actually coming.

:)

The 360 I was added if I was home to drive it, adding me on for a year would have been something insane, well into the thousands which is just pointless considering I don't spend all my time there, nor can it be used as a daily driver :p I think it was around £40 a day for when I wanted to drive it but we get some pretty nice deals through our insurance broker.

That was what I was hoping you were not going to say :(

What do you personally drive at the moment, anyway? Still got the 220T?

No I sold the 220T some time ago, was coming up to its last year in warranty and was at the dealership at least every fortnight with something rattling/falling off or blowing up, decided to sell whilst it was still in warranty and worth a good amount. I ended up buying a new s2000, lot more usable and comfy as a daily driver, reliable and I like it :)
